Nice bit of kit. Needed something to clean or spot clean furniture and the accessories that comes with this have proven themselves. Very pleased in ease of use, cleaning after use etc. In my opinion, money well spent

I cleaned a sofa with it that my wife thought the material had become threadbare. Instead it must have been impacted dirt (20 year old sofa, dogs). It's kind of back to new. Saved us a fortune on re-covering or getting a new sofa. With the furniture we have done, it has paid for itself even compared to hiring and/or paying someone to come and do it. The material on the kitchen chairs had stains that I didn't think were going to come out. We had tried furniture cleaning spray foam, and it had helped for a bit, but this vax still showed loads of dirt in the sucked up waste water. The thoroughness of the cleaning is another level. We went for the next kit up from the base kit. The only thing that was a bit of a miss is the rotating scrubbing brush, This works with the airflow from the suction, so can stop if you're scrubbing hard. Ironically it was one of the reasons we got the next model up. Other reviewers had gone on about small ergonomic improvements like the carrying handle. I have not got another model to compare but it all seems good, the way things can dismantle for cleaning, the self-clean function for the hose, and the way that the containers clip into the unit. Ah yes the trigger for the spraying does not spring back fully on its own. You have to push the other end of the trigger more often than not. The included fluid is good stuff, but we have since bought another 1L bottle. With it we have done 3 sofas, an armchair and 6 dining chairs. All have come up noticeably cleaner, and the waste fluid has come up brown, even on the rinse. The method that has worked for us: - dampen the material with the fluid. You need the machine on to spray. - turn off machine - leave for a minute or so - scrub material, with machine still off. - suck in the fluid, working in sections. - when the fluid is finished (the lower filling level is good for one sofa) then empty the waste container (ewww), and rinse, refill the fluid container with luke warm water again (no detergent). and repeat the above process. If the waste still comes up super grubby, then a 2nd rinse, or even 3rd may be advisable. The suction must be good, because we have found the furniture to be dry the next morning, admittedly in warm rooms. We have left an extra day for good measure. We'll be hanging on to this thing, even if we only get it out every couple of years.

Bought to help spot clean areas for cat sick (3 cats) and also having a baby. Portable with place to put hose on the side and wrap the cable, got a bit weight to it as expected especially once water added but shouldn’t be a problem for the majority of people. Does make a noise like any other carpet cleaning but performance has been good. Comes with a few attachments however I’ve just used the main one that seems to do what I need and sucks the water dirt up well. Good to get in the moment and would recommend

Vax have been around for as long as I can remember and have always performed well although somewhat bulky. The new spot wash max is very capable and handy for the home. For me this is a trade off between a full size unit and storage space as we have a relatively small house I figured I could use this as general carpet cleaner plus spot wash (ok so it will take much longer but I’m not in a rush!) it’s perfect for the stairs and ideal for cleaning a mattress when changing the sheets. The instructions could be a little better when it comes to the hose clean function it wasn’t clear and I had the handle upside down initially (it goes in with the little notch facing upwards) other than that o would say I was disappointed with the lack of accessory storage as the machine is only designed to store the crevice tool and one cleaning nozzle onboard leaving the other wide nozzle, pet tool and wide tool brush attachment in a pile next to it (perhaps a netted sack to keep it all together would be in order, I’ve used a little laundry bag myself) It’s important to remember that it’s not going to shift a dried in well established stain so if your thinking of getting one to get rid of that curry stain on the carpet from last year then forget it! That aside it does do a good job of cleaning if you put the elbow grease in. I tried it on a section of carpet in the kitchen doorway that gets a bit mucky at times and whilst it didn’t remove the old stains it did do a surprisingly good job of cleaning the carpet lifting some old marks I wasn’t expecting. I did find the trigger sticky that dispenses the cleaning fluid but it worked loose over time. When you get the angle right it pulls up most the water leaving the carpet damp -it’s not wet but it’s not touch dry so to speak. Due to the clear nozzle cover you can see the liquid being picked up so it’s easy to get the right angle. I found it best to dispense the fluid over an area then turn off the vac and work it in using the brush head before turning it back on and clean in straight rearward pulls getting as much liquid out as I can. Considering its size the noise isn’t that bad although the exhaust can be a bit warm. Get it when on offer and it will repay you tenfold -just don’t let the neighbours see!

Great for spot washing. Have cleaned carpet, mattress, sofa. Doesn't work as well as the stand up traditional Vax hoover, but handy for small areas.

So easy to use, the extra self clean function is great. I didn't realise my sofa was so dirty until I used this...it definitely cleaned very effectively with multiple attachments heads( came in handy for front of sofa arm)!! Its compact,so easy to store away when not in use. I purchased when on sale so win win!!

Works really well on two very large pale grey patterned rugs and sofas with a cat and a dog. We did not want an upright as you rinse it out and put this away in a kitchen cupboad in minutes. If you don't mind sitting or kneeling, I always put a large plastic sheet underneath just to protect my wooden floors just incase..of accidents too...But it picks up all the dirt in the solution of "pro Kleen Pro+" then when we switch from using the "pet scrubbing head" (which is amazing) over to the wide pick up tool the suction is very powerful and the diffence is visible straight away If repeated slowly with the pick up tool the fabric is left almost dry. Arguably if the ambient room is warm and dry +18° low humidity ventilated and or you have a dehumidifier too in your property. In Summary Rugs look as good as new I know with active pets rolling all over them of an evening that I will doing it again 4-6 weeks as The floors are steam cleaned and the sofas have throws on them which are also in washing machine 1x per week. Love Clean and no pet smells.

game-changer for pet stains and spills. The XL tanks mean I can clean a lot without constant refills, and the motorised tool makes scrubbing carpets and upholstery really easy. I’ve used it on my sofa, car seats, and rugs, and it removes stains much better than I expected. The antibacterial solution is a nice bonus, leaving everything clean and fresh. Overall, it’s a powerful, easy-to-use cleaner that makes tackling messes much less stressful.

This machine is amazing. It arrived on sat and I've just done my stair carpet. As an owner of dogs my stair carpet was looking dirty, washing by hand wasn't getting it clean properly. I decided to get a spot cleaner pet max by vax It's amazing. I've three German shepherd's and they are up and down all the time my carpet looks great when finished. I would recommend this to everyone the extra suction is fantastic. It cost's a bit more but it's worth it .

Easy to use , does a brilliant job of cleaning sofa , dries quickly
