This means that much of the OEM geometry is changing; a big part is how the steering functions. In my case, this meant either I had to find a way to adapt the old to the new or invest in a multi-hundred dollar part from another old car, which would also require adaptation.After searching I found this and took a gamble. For me, it was a direct fit and solved a complex problem quickly since it can operate at a very tight angle.The only thing to look out for is that while it's 3/4", it's a flat 3/4". That means you have to grind down a circular 3/4" to have 2 flat edges that measure about 1/2". Sometimes you find that you have to install steering shafts around headers, frame and suspension parts that necessitate angles greater than 30°. When that happens, you get hard/tight spots in the rotation of the shafts. Install a double-cardan joint like this and you’ll remove those high-spots. This is a quality part with really good machining.
