Perfect, only took a couple of turns and the ring was off, and a bonus getting the extra blade.

This little thing did the job, didn't take long, did it myself and just like that the ring is cut in a straight line ready to be expanded

It took about 20 seconds to cut the band of my signet ring. The trick is to start with only a light grip then progressively increase the pressure. Heat does start to build up, so for thicker rings (or ones made of harder metal) you might need to take a break mid-way. I chose this model because it has full-length plier levers (which allows applying significant pressure on the cutting edge) where many models use a button-type second lever. It does feel slightly flimsy, but worked perfectly. The spare blade is useful but only if you regularly cut rings. At this price point I have nothing to complain about.

Whilst on holiday my husband has bitten on his ring finger. Trying everything to try and remove his ring we purchased this item and within 5 minutes the ring was off. Easy to use with no complications, worth the purchase

No use on an 18ct gold wedding ring. Just roughed the surface.

Not sure how many times you can use it before braking or going blunt but it did what i want it to do and purchased for. 😁

This item does not work! Thankfully it was bad enough to not even start the job so didn't leave any sharp edges. Don't waste your money buying this.
