Great for family fun, if you dip it in cold water when using!
These make great onigiri if you take the advice some give to always dip the mold in cold water between pressing onigiri. When wet with cold water, rice slips out really easily, and the whole process is fun. When dry, the rice sticks, and it quickly becomes a nightmarish experience. Dip it in cold water first, and it is fun. Don't dip, and you'll be really frustrated really fast. We just kept a bowl of cold water nearby and just plopped it in for a few seconds between filling it with rice. I do appreciate that it also can be dismantled and put in the dishwasher, but make sure that you keep track of the spring when you remove the presser from the outer shell.

Rice Brick
The rectangle one is a little too big, why is it bigger than the spam? Other than that, the quality is good and it does what it is supposed to, it makes a brick of rice.

Made a wonderful gift!
My son is quite the cook, and loves to try new things. When he started exploring different foods, I knew heโd love this. He was happy to get them and used them to make his next four meals! He likes to perfect the technique. Very happy.

Excellent musubi maker
Makes great musubi! Very important to sip mold in cold water to make it easy to release.

They work great but...
One of them was bent and broken out of the box. The other works great.

Perfect
Love how easy it is to use and clean and mainly itโs not PLASTIC! I use it with hot rice and donโt have to worry about microplastics

Too Expensive
VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET.

No rust after multiple uses and trips through the dishwasher!
It works great, and can be run through the dishwasher. Make sure you rest it in water because if you just keep using it dry then it's going to be hard to push the rice out after compacting. But after multiple uses, and multiple trips through the dishwasher there's still no rust which was my biggest relief. All in all a great product!

Not air tight. Drys out the rice
They are cute but they are not airtight. So you end up with dry rice

Well made but a little finicky
Cute little mold that I purchased for making sushi. I found it hard to get the rice to release cleanly. You could use this for many things, like cakes, jello, marshmallows etc.

Love it! Living my best onigiri life
I absolutely love this thing. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Can't believe I fumbled around with the cheap plastic versions for so long. Also: don't listen to that one reviewer who said it makes small onigiri; they're very much the standard size.
