Excellent value
I used this to power a 1/36 Losi Micro T that I built from all the spare parts I had from upgrading my original one. It works great. I soldered new motor and battery leads on. Wrapping the wires tight around a 2mm driver and hitting them with a heat gun tidies up all the excess from them being too long. LVC would be a welcome addition but I can't complain for the price.

Well worth the small price!
Great little ESC for the price. I installed it in an SCX24. I had to reverse the motor wires but I was installing a JST2.0 motor plug anyway so no big deal. Don’t just reverse throw in your transmitter because then the brake will only work when you are going backwards. Some reviewers said that it just takes off when you slowly give forward throttle. I found that when you add forward trim to the point where it wants to move then back off one or two clicks you get much better slow speed control. I also increased forward throttle endpoint to 105%. Doing both of these allows you to fine tune your throttle curve from your transmitter. This is NOT a competition ESC. If you want to do competitive crawling get a Holmes Mini ESC. This ESC does not have instant reverse. After you brake you have to return to neutral throw before going into reverse. This was not an issue for me because I am familiar with this feature from other ESC’s I have had. The bottom line is it works great and maybe even a little better with a full function computerized transmitter. Well worth the money.

Positive and Negative possibly wired wrong
*READ* Positive and Negative possibly wired wrong. I had to desolder the leads off my correctly wired motor and reverse them. Which is easier than doing it to the esc. Brake functioned properly, instead of in reverse. This wasnt an isuue, as I had the soldering iron out for other things. Other than that working great. Using this in a WPL B-1. Stock motor atm, have a better single motor and dual motor gearbox inc. I dont think I'll have any issue with these stronger motors.

Goes backwards, no low end throttle control
I wasn't expecting much for $8 but this esc still let met down. I had to reverse the channel on the transmitter and reverse the wiring to the motor to get this thing to go in the right direction and to get the forward/brake/reverse working correctly. The ESC does nothing for like the first 10% of throttle, then it sends too much power to the motor all at once. It's more like a simple on/off switch than an ESC. And past about 50% throttle it doesn't do anything. And since it's not adjustable in any way there's no way to try re calibrating anything. Pretty terrible, wouldn't recommend, especially not for something where you want low end throttle control like a Micro-B you'd want to run on a track.

As advertised
I got this to fix up my nephews older but tiny RC car. It is small enough to fit in the limited space and was a fair price. I did not want to upgrade the motor and just needed a Brushed version. This was a good match.

Go for the 20amp
Do yourself a favor and get the 20amp this couldn’t even handle my 1/24th scale crawler

About what I expected for a cheap ESC
It works well enough. I'm using this to drive the stage 2 motors for a Gen 1 XMods that I had lying around. A few notes here: First, I'm not sure if it's the voltages I'm using (4x AAA batteries) or just limitations to the controller itself, but this thing doesn't like to switch quickly from forward to reverse. It also doesn't like battery voltages much below 5V (it will act very erratically). The PWM frequency is in the audible range, so you get a 8kHz noise when the motors are running. Finally, I'm not sure what style connectors are used for the battery and motor plugs. I ended up cutting the battery leads and soldering a coaxial barrel jack in place for a disconnect point. Like the headline states, it's a cheap ESC. I didn't want to spend fifty bucks on a nice speed controller for something I rarely touch. You get what you pay for. I'm not disappointed.

Good for toy to hobby grade conversions.
I bought plenty of these esc and ill keep getting more. I use this to turn model cars or toy grade rc's into hobby grade rc cars. Aslong as nothings binding it will work flawlessly. I fried one because of tight gear mesh (completely my fault)
