Shipping was very fast and it was well packed. I'm wiring up some speakers for my personal studio and wanted to try this versus lamp cord. This is really nice and flexible. The quality is amazing. It was very easy to strip and put connectors on and performed just like I expected. My speakers sound great!

Good quality speaker wire for a good price

Why buy speaker wire that's all one color when you can get it with black and red strands to help you keep from wiring loudspeakers out of phase by accidentally reversing the leads? Plus, this wire is shielded in the new satin-finish super-flexible material that doesn't tangle. The softer texture also makes it easier to strip the ends to bare wire for connecting. Granted, it's not high-end audiophile oxygen-free braided stuff, but for anybody without $20,000 loudspeakers, you'll be happy with the high quality and low price.

This is my go-to wire spool for hooking up speakers, lights, and other items in vehicles. Cuts cleanly and has a decent quantity of wire for each spool.

The home A/V industry perpetuates the over sized wire=great sound myth. Exhaustive testing, by credited techs,using bench reference grade equipment, in a double blind test. That casts light on status spending for speaker wire that does nothing for sound quality. Use this Install Gear wire for your under 30ft speaker runs, note your volume level. Keeping all things the same,wire up 0-2# versus14g# then repeat all conditions, and SPL meter everything. Now try it with longer runs but until you do this, what do you truly know? Ask -does it matter if you have speaker wire losses that you can't hear? So if your running a couple hundred watts under 50ft don't stress over this CCA wire. You do know its very likely your listening room's outlets,lights,amplifier(s)/receiver, and gear are run on 12 to14 # up 2,200 watts up to a 100ft run (maybe more) from a breaker box to AV room. Check the*national charts on wire capacity by length, then make certain you have corrosion free spkr wire, with good contacts, so you can get more real world returns. Speaker wire 5X to10X the gauge supplying power to your amp, in order to feed 350 watt speakers 30 feet away -however- is great for MTI which = money transfer inefficiency.

The InstallGear jacket has a nice, heavy, soft-rubber feel, which I like. I’ve been using the red version for 4 years to wire home audio. Red to red, black to black. I would definitely order it again.

Excellent quality speaker wire

Know your equipment specification’s before you purchase. Which I didn’t. I have a 2015 Onkyo two channel receiver. I purchased a roll of speaker wire from radio shack from the late 1990’s that I was using with the receiver. I rearrange my entertainment systems stand when I notice the speaker wire from the 90’s was too short. I researched speaker wire and came up with InstallGear speaker wire. After reading the manufacture specification’s I thought perfect with all the technology out today I could probably get a better sound out of my JBL’s tower DJ speakers that I’ve owned since 2006. According to InstallGear specification’s it states its wire works well with auto and home audio. Of course I was excited. Day one of use which happens to had been on a Friday night, I blasted for the longest without a problem. I go back the following Saturday and got the old school music started. I get about a half hour into my loud music session and the receiver kept shutting off, I thought the worst had happened. Then after restarting for several times the last time the receiver cut off I was about to shut it off for good when I saw the display that read CHECK SPEAKER WIRE which I did all wires was connected correctly. Now I have to go to Onkyo's website and find out which speaker is recommended receiver. I give sound quality a two star because my receiver kept cutting off.

Adquirí este cable debido a que cambié mis bocinas del amplificador integrado por un paquete de Bocinas de 2 torres, 2 bocinas laterales y una bocina central cada una de ellas de 8 ohms (Paquete Supernova 5F de Pure accoustic). Cual fue mi sorpresa al recibir este cable ya que se siente de muy buena calidad, es un cable flexible con una excelente protección plástica, mantiene la señal sin adherir ruido. Yo coloqué al mismo conectores banana (Fijos y Flexibles) en todos los extremos y la verdad hace lucir mi equipo con toque de elegancia y dando un aspecto semi-profesional. Recomendado ampliamente este cable Calibre 14 para equipos de sonido.

Most speaker sets come with a certain length of speaker wire, mine weren’t long enough so I looked for the best cable around, this one came out very highly recommended, I’m very well pleased with the sound it is helping produce from my speakers, having to buy the whole reel isn’t the best situation and maybe giving the option of set lengths would be an option, but overall I’m happy enough with the quality and the service from the supplier, well packaged and a quick delivery.
