The active ingredient in these “Sleep Tabs” is doxylamine succinate which works much better than the other over-the-counter sleep aid called diphenhydramine.A full dose will definitely knock you out and help you sleep longer than any of the other sleep aids on the market, including zolpidem.When I use it on its own, half a dose will do. I also use it the night after taking zolpidem to counter the effects of rebound insomnia (works like a dream for this).Also, like any sleep medication, it only works for a few days before it’s no longer effective.There is a downside of course. You will feel like a zombie the next day, so I don’t plan anything important.
