I mostly wanted to be able to disable the annoying double honk when leaving the truck running and closing the door with the key fob in my pocket.However, when I connected this ELM327 unit to my truck running the latest Forscan v2.3.56 I get the message "The adapter is NOT recommended for this car - some FORScan functions may not be available or work properly"Checking the FORScan support forum I find out what FORScan does when you connect to the reader is check to see whether the device is has been approved by them. The reason for this is some lower cost and clone devices have bricked modules in some people's cars. There are some saying "don't worry" as folks on the internet are wont to do.
