The locking mechanism on this knife does not slide over and lock the blade in place! Based on how a knife like this gets used, that makes this knife literally worthless. You can see from the picture I added that The locking mechanism is too far left. Well the weight, balance, and sharpness of the knife are great, if it doesn’t lock it in place, it is of major concern to anyone who would use it. I bought a second one in black. It appears to be operating OK, but I’m going to reserve judgment on it until I use it a few times. Well I hoped to give these as gifts to my daughter and son-in-law, now I am worried about the liability in danger involved in using something like this. Hopefully the company will rectify the issue.1/20/17 update: Changing to 3 stars because the company sent me a new one with a nice letter. The new one does lock properly. Cool design. Sometimes the blade gets stuck but I fix that with a little oil. The set screws for the clip come loose but that can be fixed with lock right or fingernail polish.
