A: well, I tried to record using the microphone and playing music on a seperate stereo system, but the microphone is extremely poor quality. The whole thing was junk. when i complained they said they wouldn't charge me for the unit, but the did anywway. I'll never do business with them again and haven't done business with Amazon since.

A: Yes, the cassette player use standard size battery, and UM-2 is a battery size, that is medium, you can buy it in most shop.

**Q: is this a dual cassette player? will it okay both sides of a cassette?**
A: It only plays 1 cassette, but it will play both sides. You just have to manually turn the tape over when you want to switch sides.
