This set of metal paper tearing rulers makes excellent precision cuts to transform straight lines into curvy, irregular and intricate lines. This is a great tool for paper crafting such as junk journals, greeting cards and scrapbooks. It works perfectly even without the water pen and has no unintended rips. The water pen will help if you want a feathered edge.

These are great for crafting. They are sturdy and rip Though all my craft paper. I have these in acrylic but I was concerned I would break those so I Bought these in metal and have been really happy with them.

These three steel rulers work so well. The tearing rulers are being used a lot now in my work. They are very good quality not flimsy. They really hold up. They came with the strange little tool which I think is a watercolor pen to add water to but I didn't know why I had received that and there was no information about it but I think that's what it is. But the quality of the edges of the rulers and the rollers themselves are very good quality. I think you can use the center cut out for scoring a line folding.

I needed some straight edge guides to help my tear paper cleanly. These are great- they’re metal and substantial in heft. These edges are sharp, but do a great job of tearing paper in the correct pattern.

I tried a plastic set of deckle rulers that didn't work at all. This metal set was sturdier, so I got a superior cut with all the tear edges. The fine deckle edge worked well with both 65 lb and 110 lb cardstock (I've included a photo of the cuts that have the paper weights written at the top). All of the edges worked well on 65 lb cardstock, but I actually think it was easier to cut the 110 lb paper, and the edges were equally clean. None of the edges come out with sharp cuts on any weight of paper, including copy paper. You need to clean them up by pulling off any bits you don't want. Take a look at both sides of the deckled paper if that is an option. You might feel the "back" side is better. The set comes with a water pen that you are supposed to be able to use to wet along where you want to cut, but I couldn't get the cap off to fill the pen no matter how I tried, so it was absolutely useless. Maybe the cuts would be cleaner if you could use the pen, but I have no idea. I've included some pictures of how cuts from some of the edges came out for me on 65 lb paper.

Sharp as a knife! All work like a charm. I tend to moisten the paper tear line a tiny bit. Especially on complex tears and thicker papers. I use a water color brush. SS nice heavy feel, does not slip easy.
