Compatible with non-Bosch laser levels
I wasn’t 100% sure about using the pole with non-Bosch lasers as I have a cheap Far East brand. I needn’t have worried as it’s fine and the pole is very easy to assemble and use. No instructions needed. I did need to use a spacing washer (optional) as the mounting screw is slightly longer than the threaded hole in the level and I didn’t want to overtighten. Even without the washer it was fine though. Well made product, functional, easy to use, value for money and perfect for DIY but not professional site use.

It’s the cheapest floor to ceiling laser pole on the market
It’s great value for the usual Bosch quality. To use it properly make sure you are putting tension on the spring loaded ceiling pad before you lock the tubular sections in place. This will ensure it has a good grip between the floor and ceiling. Have a rough idea of the approximate height you will be using the laser at, and arrange the tubular poles so there is no collar at that height to get in the way of the laser clamp. It’s very compact when retracted at only 1.1m. Insert the thin end of the pole into the storage bag after removing the clamp and ceiling pad. The outer compartment is very useful for storing the two piece clamp and ceiling pad, as well as optional accessories e.g. swivel adapter. The thread on the clamp is 1/4”. I bought a mini ball head swivel adapter to use with this which allows me to point my laser level at the ceiling.

Better than a tripod within a building
Tripods are great things, as anyone with a photography interest will know. But what they'll also know is how easy it is to trip over one of the legs. It's also not easy to drop a tripod down to near floor level if you need to – it usually means having a mini tripod as well - and I needed to be able to do exactly that recently with some floor tiling. When I bought my Bosch laser, I wanted to be able to have a minimum footprint support with minimal trip risk and the ability move the laser quickly vertically from floor to ceiling; only a pole support offers that. There are many of these on the market but decided to reduce the risk of incompatibility and purchase one from the same manufacturer as the laser (which I purchased elsewhere as it was cheaper and would be delivered faster, Amazon Prime being not the service it once was). I’ve just been using it for a DIY project, and it met my expectations fully. Basically, it’s absolutely fine, although there are a few niggles that are perhaps nit-picking: - It’s made of very lightweight metal which makes it great to transport but means it lacks heft in use. I like my heavy steel acro props which, although cumbersome and heavy, are utterly rock solid when deployed. The Bosch pole is easily disturbed if tapped or bumped, but this is something every model probably has in common. - You can’t mount the laser where the telescopic tighteners are. There’s no way around this and in practice it doesn’t really affect anything, so I’m being pedantic. - The small platform mount at the top is plastic and snaps into place. I can’t help wondering how long that is going to last. - The micro-adjusting platform that comes with the pole only works in one plane. - The clamping and adjustment mount that comes with the laser is far better than the one with the pole, and so I will probably never use the latter (which I paid for). Overall, I’m very happy I bought it and as long as it doesn’t break, I can entirely recommend it to you. If you were thinking of buying a laser for DIY (and you absolutely should) but were thinking of just reusing your camera tripod to save money, think again. Yes that will work for some uses, but not for floor tiling; just buy a pole.

Worth it
Good value bit of kit for DIY. Bit light and plasticky for anything more demanding, but great for mounting a laser or camera without taking up much floor space. 1/4 inch thread. No quick release on the height adjustment whichdoes feel a bit cheap but it’s a value product not a premium one so can’t fault it for that.

Good value not as sturdy as other brands
Good but at extremities of length it becomes very wobbly

Could Be Much Better
Good quality product as you would expect from Bosch. However, it is very difficult to set up accurately - there is a lot of messing around to get the level where you want it. For the price I would have liked to see both horizontal and vertical micro adjustment on the clamp. I’ll keep it but it’s probably the most disappointed I have been with a Bosch product.

Don't think about it just buy it and make your work easier
Decent build quality, lightweight but strong, good carrier case, easy to assemble. Would highly recommend you get a 360 laser so you do not have to swivel to mount and have to realign the level. It does rotate 180-240 degrees no problem. The lock in for the pole is easy to use and the spring load at the top is a fantastic idea. It's a must if you are suspending large ceilings :D

davvero funzionale
