Need to vent the package when heating in microwave more than just a inch

I'm attaching a recipe. These are a great rice substitute and much simpler!
These are good! I make a quick fried-rice dish (in the oven). Empty one pack into a small toaster-oven-size casserole dish. Add about a teaspoon of sweetener to cut the sourness of the cauliflower (I use a packet of stevia). Stir in whatever add-ins you like, up to a cup total, in quarter-cup increments. For my last batch I added craisins, slivered almonds, chopped celery, and a pre-scrambled egg. Add whatever seasonings you like. I added beef seasoning. Stir in a tablespoon or two of olive oil or generously dot with butter. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Change it up every time; add whatever you have on hand. An quick, easy, healthful meal!

Perfect grab and go!
Perfect grab and go for the work lunch! Add a lil pink Himalayan Salt and it goes good with vegetables, steak, shrimp, tilapia. I mean this is a perfect substitute for rice and i can’t wait to try the broccoli!

Unappetizing smells and color.
The package of riced broccoli is misleading. It clearly has a picture of it with more of a green color. However, once opened, it is a brownish color with a smell of old sauerkraut. I’m not sure if this is the way it is supposed to look, but it is unappetizing.
