I loved this nail polish. It was easy to use and my nails looked like they were professionally done. I used the light green color and the polish went on smooth and there wasn't any streaks in my polish. My co-worker had recently had gel nails recently at a salon and my nails looked just as good. The key is making thin coats and making sure you prep your nails and let them cure. Read the directions and you will have beautiful nails. The magnetic effect was easy to do and it came with the magnet. All of the colors are beautiful and I can't wait to try them all. And best of all, I had nails that looked like I walked out of a salon and they lasted 3 weeks!

The most important aspect of using this product is that you must understand it is not traditional nail-polish, but UV-setting gel-polish. Each are completely distinct, and must be respected for what they are, as this product needs proper preparation and UV-light drying (curing). With that said, this gel-polish application definitely takes a considerable amount of time to apply correctly, BUT if you follow their video instructions, it is well worth the time you invest up-front, because the polish lasts for more than 3 weeks-even in conditions where you wash dishes, do handyman work around the house, garden, rack dumbbells after training, and hands-on work. I think you get me. Being that this is a distinct product from traditional nail-polish, the nail-bed and cuticle preparation is vital to adhesion: Follow the video instructions explicitly. After buying the gel-polish the first time, using a gel-like-advertised base from another manufacturer, not setting it with the IV light, and all the polish floating off that same day when I did the dishes, I went back to Beetles site and researched what I did wrong: I did everything wrong the first time. After watching their video instructions, I realized that the preparation is similar to acrylic nail application and is vital to adhesion. Having experienced a first-time failure, and an amazing second, correct-prep application, I highly recommend that you invest in Beetles entire kit: • cuticle remover • cuticle pusher • files/buffers • UV light • fine brush (thin for around where cuticle meets nail) • primer • dehydrator • base coat • top coat The investment in all the necessary products will save you time and money in the process. Consider if you had to pay someone to gel your nails every couple of weeks, which is costly, or pay someone to prepare and polish your nails with traditional nail-polish, also costly and chips off much faster. When applied CORRECTLY and as per instructions, this gel-polish lasts A MONTH. Yes, an entire month with what I'd say is not-so-delicate care (ie: washing dishes, scrubbing floors, etc.). To me, it is completely worth it. Maybe you can consider it also. The curing time says between 60-90 seconds, BUT I chose to set each and every coat-from the base coat through top coat-for 120 seconds, which resulted in vibrant, super shiny, durable polish. I was truly astonished. In fact, they recommend you perform a "scratch test" by literally scratching the cured polish. I thought for sure it would peel up, but it did not: it had "give" like plastic, but rebounded into smooth, shiny, perfectly-covered nails. Pretty amazing. It is vital to apply each coat THINLY. If you are accustomed to wiping the brush and then picking up a "bead" of polish, that is way too much-this gel-polish will pool at your cuticle. Use only what you need to adhere and cover the nail because if you use too much, like I said, it will pool at the cuticle during curing. Do finish each nail with the very fine-haired brush around each cuticle. This is in order to seal the polish to the most vulnerable area to lifting. Finish each nail and cuticle with nail oil. Your nails will look beautiful, and the polish will have impressive longevity. I hope you have the success I did. Good luck!

I was under the impression that these would be magnetic, and they are not, simply sparkly. But it came with a little dotting tool that I used to create the swirl affect and I loved that. This polish is quite translucent and still not opaque after 3 layers, so next time I’ll use a base layer first. At first glance the white one is not pearlescent. I’m not sure how to create that effect, I even tested it by layering on another color and don’t really get a pearlescent effect. This could be user error, but since the object description is a bit misleading I’m deducting a star. The colors are still gorgeous and the swirl effect is fun so I’ll get multiple uses out of this purchase. I have loved all my beetles purchases so far, their colors are rich and multidimensional, and great for a beginner like me.

## My Go-To Gel Polish — You Really Can’t Beat It for the Price 💅 Beetles has officially become my **go-to gel polish**. I’ve bought some of the higher-end, more expensive gel polishes, and honestly? I keep coming back to Beetles. The polish goes on **smoothly and evenly**, the colors are beautiful, and there is such a huge selection that my growing collection may eventually require its own room. 😂 One thing I’ve learned through some trial and error: **THIN COATS are your friend!** Don't load up the brush thinking you're going to save yourself a coat. The polish can shift or move around on the nail before you cure it if you apply it too thick. A couple of thin coats, curing between each one, gives me a much better and smoother result. Once I figured that out, I've had great results with it. And can we talk about the price?! For the number of colors you can get without spending a fortune, it's really hard to beat. I've used expensive gel polishes, and while I'm sure there are professionals who can tell me all the reasons I need a $20 bottle of polish... my nails apparently didn't get the memo. 😂 If you're doing your own gel nails and want **good quality, tons of color choices, and a price that lets you buy more colors without feeling guilty**, Beetles is absolutely worth trying. **Budget-friendly + good quality + great color selection = my go-to.** And yes, I will probably continue buying colors that are *slightly* different from the 47 colors I already own. They ARE different. I promise. 😂💅

I really liked this Beetles Candy Cane gel polish set. The colors are vibrant, and the glitter gives a nice shine without being too chunky. They apply smoothly, level out well, and look even better after curing.....I used them for a holiday manicure, but a few of the shades are versatile enough to wear year-round. With a good base and top coat, the polish lasted over two weeks with minimal chipping. Overall, this is a fun gel polish set with beautiful colors, good coverage, and great value for the price. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys doing their own gel nails at home.

This is my second time using Beetles and here's what I personally recommend... don't buff your nails. Push cuticles back and clean them well with nail polish remover before applying the base coat, but don't buff them. Yes, this means they will come off sooner, but when they do they pop off in one piece! I'm a stay at home mom of five young boys and wash my hands a fair bit throughout the day. I do use gloves for washing dishes. For the first set I did, I didn't buff my nails and they lasted beautifully for about 8-10 days. Then, all on the same day one nail chipped and then one by one I could easily pop the rest off. My nails were perfectly clean and undamaged underneath and I didn't have to deal with a fiasco of acetone! Then the second time I did my nails I made the mistake of lightly sanding/buffing my nails with a filer, thinking it might help them last longer. They did not last longer--well at least not in nice condition--and came off in pieces. The parts that stayed on were a pain to get off. Plus after I was done using acetone and scraping it off my nails didn't look very happy, they were dry and well...scraped :( I personally don't like dealing with acetone (the mess, the risk of spilling on our wood floors, the chemicals, and the time) so I will never again buff my nails! I will leave them smooth so I can enjoy those 11 or so days of perfect nails before they easily pop off whole, rather than chipping in parts and looking awful for a few days until I take the time to do the full acetone process. Just my two cents! Now my opinion on these particular colors: The Pink Angel collection is fun, bright, and girly. I really love the color of the second-to-last mulberry pink in two layers - it's a perfect hot pink (first pic, right hand). 3 layers gives you more of the true mulberry color which is also very nice but deeper (second pic, left hand). I added one layer of glitter before the top coat. One of the glitter colors in the Pink Angel collection has a base pink color in addition to glitter, the other is a base of clear with darker pink glitter. It gives a few fun options for layering!

Only the purple seems like a good pastel colour and matches the previews. Everything else barely has any colour and don't look anything like the photos above.

One of my favourite sets from Beetles so far, on the photo mixed with colors from the mermaid legend set from the same brand, they complement each other really well. I was worried the colors might be a bit sheer but they’re opaque and applied really well, all gorgeous too! I think they would be especially suitable for someone with warm undertones. 💅 Removed at 2 weeks because I got bored but no chips.

I purchased this nail polish because I liked the colours it came in. After applying it, I realized this nail polish was not drying because it is oil based! Beautiful coloured nail varnish, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. Don't waste your money.

This is the candy land colour way from beetles. The pastels are so beautiful and go well with each other. I particularly love the soft blue and yellow colours which are very subtle and not too bright. The orange would also go well as a neutral base colour and suits my skin tone well.
