A palette essential!!
The Williamsburg Raw Umber is one of my favorite colors. It's a cool neutral. Many brands have a raw umber that is close to a dark sienna; however, this paint practically dances with other colors--especially blues. I highly recommended it!

This is a very nice & buttery paint with great coverage. I typically mix all my colors, but this was a fun addition to my palette for anything kind of pinkish brownish.

Best burnt umber I’ve used.
While I’ve read that some signature colors may have a slightly gritty texture, I can say that this burnt (and even brown) umber is probably the best umber paint I’ve ever used. It holds its own against Michael Harding’s earth tones and is miles ahead of Winsor & Newton and Gamblin. It’s creamier and doesn’t come out of the tube like 10 year old toothpaste. It mixes splendidly with extenders.
