Simple when the storyline captures me and is difficult to put down as so mind provoking, another excellent story from Kenny, so much so, Ibought the story rather than borrow it on kindle prime. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Living Happily Ever After? *by P***T on 9 December 2014* I enjoyed this book for a second time immediately after I'd finished reading Kirsten McCurran's 'Because He's Watching'. This was an interesting exercise that had me switching back and forth between the two books. The story would have been even better if Ian, as promised earlier in the story, had continued to meet up with Ray and thus provided us with the lover's version of his affair with Emily.Kenny Wright is a very good writer and I have enjoyed most of his books except for an ongoing irritation, - a strange moralistic attitude which, in spite of adultery, wanton sexual escapades, etc, insists that that the main characters are 'good people'. Almost invariably there is a 'happy-ever-after' conclusion (and oh,- its OK if you wear a condom!). All of which tends to make the story less realistic and less believable.He is by no means alone in this respect. Several other writers in this particular gendre appear to follow the same wierd morality; - seeking to ligitamise promiscuity with scant regard for the inevitable consequences. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good! *by W***D on 4 May 2019* As usual, Kenny Wright has written a book with main characters who seem three dimensional and interesting. I feel it is so important in this genre where feelings both emotional and physical are crucial, that the main players have to feel like real people and I felt that this was achieved with Emily, Ian and Ray. I enjoyed reading of the developing sexual relationship between Emily and Ray and of the effect this had on Ian. There were plenty feelings vividly described throughout the tale and I found myself being frustrated when the conversations between Emily and Ray outwith the earshot of Ian were left to the imagination, this being a testimony to how "into" the story I was getting. I was suprised by the jump in the final scenes of where Emily ended up in her sexual adventures from her hesitancy of just a few chapters before but I suppose that is the nature of this type of story and I wasn't disappointed. I have now downloaded a Kristen McCurran book which apparently is essentially the same story taken from Emily's perspective so this tale seems to be worthy of a second telling and I can't, at the moment, argue with that. Perhaps some of the secret conversations will come to light.
