This Next Box is FAR TOO SMALL for a parakeet. I would return it for the larger one offered, but based on the dimensions of the larger one, it is not big enough for parakeets either. This item should not be advertised for parakeets.

Absolutely perfect for my budgies! This nesting box is well-made, sturdy, and just the right size. As soon as I installed it, my pair went right in and made themselves at home. The interior is smooth with no rough edges, and the access door makes it super easy to check on the eggs without disturbing them too much. It feels safe and cozy for the birds, and I’ve already seen them getting comfortable inside. Highly recommend this for any budgie owner looking to encourage nesting in a clean and secure space.

I have lovebirds, nice size, easy to install

The plastic seeing window came cracked and the ledge inside the nesting box is a lot bigger than I expected so it’s hard to reach your hand in to check eggs/ back birds.

I like the size. Perfect for my canaries. I just don't like where the door is. It was very difficult to actually install onto the cage due to where the door is. With the door open and the panel to the opening of the cage open ....it's almost impossible to close the door on the breeding box. I have several cages and installed these boxes on 4 cages so far and 3 of the cages were almost impossible. Too ALOT of pulling and squeezing to be able to get it shut.
