Stability Trainer Pad, Beginner Level, Firm, Green Foam Balance Pad for Physical Therapy, Exercise Pad for Core Strength, Lightweight Non-Slip Balance Trainer, Portable Foam Pad for Home or Clinic Use

My orthopedic physical therapist showed me some balance exercises on the TheraBand Stability Trainer. I ordered one, and I'm more than impressed! 1) When I do the workout the PT showed me, I get a great workout and I'm progressing quickly. 2) You can put this anywhere that you're going to be standing and take an exercise break. 3) This type of stability exercise is much more "functional" (I mean, prepares you for something you have to do in real life) than a bosu The Theraband is similar to any uneven surface such as walking on grass, a natural movement. OTOH, a bosu is a wild ride, I'll never have that kind of situation to walk through. (And please don't misunderstand: I'm not putting down the bosu!!! It's just more advanced exercise accessory. For a therapeutic patient like myself, the aim is mobility, not sports excellence; so a bosu would be too challenging.) 4) The instruction booklet has about 15 pages of really good suggested exercises for the whole body, which means that you could use this product as a multipurpose exercise center. 5) It was a bargain for the money I paid ($26), it's large, thick, well-made.

WILL BUILD MUSCLE

I got a surgery on my foot, and this help me a lot! I can do the same exercises as in the rehab, it is bigger that the one I use with the doctor but is very usefull. I love it!

This is a great product!! I prefer it to an airex pad when performing half kneeling exercises at the gym wherever it's for my workout or a clients. Takes up a little less space and has the perfect amount of cushion for my knee. I would also prefer it over an airex pad for doing unilateral drills for stability

Is green the model you want or need? Depends. If you are already doing stability training, this may be a bit firm for you. If you are doing weights while standing on this with one foot, that could be enough challenge even if you're experienced with stability training. Is this good for novices? Yes it is. Is it good for someone who is coming back from a long downtime or an injury? Yes. Is this good for a weekend warrior or athlete that is a level or two above the average Joe? Probably not. I would recommend the next challenging color to those folks. I use mine for 1) stability training in the garage during COVID and 2) in my office to stretch my calves after a long period of sitting while WFH. cheers and thanks.

This product is just like the one I used at my physical therapy appointments. It saved me a few bucks buying it online. I'm perfectly happy with it. I don't know enough about how these pads are made, but suspect if the same exact product was a toy instead of a health product it would be half the cost to the consumer. Opinion: I'm not sure saving a few bucks is worth putting cash into Amazon's hands and out of the local community.

Quality and great to achieve good balance

I have had these for many years and ordered another pair. They are twice the size of the older model and are far too big for stacking and using as yoga blocks. I called the company and they told me they don’t make the smaller ones anymore.

Ich nutze dieses für die Arbeit mit Pferden. Was soll ich sagen, hält was es verspricht - und das obwohl ich es weitaus größeren Belastungen aussetze, als die, für die es gemacht wurde. Wie langlebig und robust das Pad ist, kann ich noch nicht sagen, soweit macht es aber einen sehr guten Eindruck. Würde es wieder kaufen und kann es jedem empfehlen. Ich selbst habe es auch mal ausprobiert, allerdings reagieren die Pferde darauf viel eindrucksvoller! 4 Sterne für die Haltbarkeit gebe ich deshalb, weil ich die volle Punktzahl ungern vorab erteile ohne es eine längere Zeit getestet zu haben.

Je pensais avoir acheté cette planche pour rééducation de ma cheville pour un niveau difficile et c'est l'inverse. C'est le plus facile. Très mal indiqué dans la présentation sur Amazon

I personally found it to be a bit firm but this is an ideal beginner stability trainer. It's also available in medium soft (blue foam)-my personal favourite- and extra soft (black air inflated; not foam). These pads are what you would find in most physiotherapist clinics and are durable/made to last and I can see are easy to clean. This foam pad can be used as a knee pad(i.e. during yoga practice or stretching), ankle strengthener/balance trainer, and also as seat/back support and more. If you're looking for something portable/packable/light to travel along with you to games or workouts, this item is light but rather large/bulky. Large feet? this item is for you. It's too bad Thera-Band doesn't offer these items in a smaller size.
