Superb compilation of Maywood's hits from the 80's. A very under rated duo and difficult to understand why they did not make good in the UK, (most of their songs were recorded in English). Tremendously popular in Holland, Russia and various parts of South America. There is no doubt that Caren Wood is the "voice" behind the duo, it's strong and clear but credit also goes to Alice May who wrote the catchy songs. Some compare Caren to Agnetha out of Abba and accuse Maywood of copying their format. Strongly disagree, if there is a comparison with Caren it is more in the Pat Benetar mould.Highlights are Late at Night, Rio and You treated me Wrong. Personal favourites are I'm Sorry , Colour my Rainbow and Circumstance. The latter is sung with so much passion it even brings a tear to one's eyes.In all a great value CD with 40 songs.

probably not many in uk will know of this singing female duo from holland in the early 80's but as i was there then it has brought back memories of the TROS top fifty etc i dont like all there stuff but there are some catchy tunes here like LATE AT NIGHT, RIO, STAR AND OTHERS but as this is a 2 cd set most of there hits are here

original CD arrived as new in cellophane but 1 CD of the 2 missing!! Replacement sent very quickly, CD excellent as holds many sentimental memories.
