So fresh tasting ! so many Sardines !
a brand that i liked of sardines became hard to buy because of being out of stock or it just taking so long to finally ship to me so i decided to give this brand a try and i was very happy to see the amount of whole sardines i got in the can, im used to getting 2 whole sardines from the other brand so not that much value for my money, so when i first opened this can and saw that there is 8-10 whole sardines per tiny can i was very happy ! not only does the olive oil taste fresh , also the fish taste fresh too, with this company i am getting so much value for my money , i am honestly going to switch the brand i normally buy from to this brand , the quality is amazing the price is so good and you get so much more in the can !! if your normal sardine brand is harder to get i would tell you to try these they are just so good !

Quality and consistency with a modest price
Good quality with fresh smell. The can is a little hard to open. The fish is firm enough to hold together but cooked enough for the bones to be soft. Packed in olive oil is better than seed oil. The price very reasonable. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the product.

Meaty sardines in decent olive oil
I like to have a can or two of tinned fish for supper a couple days a week, and so I'm always looking for new varieties to add to the rotation. These are good sardines - I've had many kinds over the years and traditionally favor the inexpensive $1/can fare from the supermarket, but these are a better class of fish. You get three or four sardines per tin, the are 3/8ths to 1/2" thick. Fairly tender. The olive oil is of decent quality, it might be a bit strong for some, it competes with the sardine flavor. I add a little salt to these, but that's it, otherwise they make a good snack. They are in the top 10% of all sardines I've tried over the years. So long as you like olive oil, I'd recommend them.

Nice find!
My wife and I often split a can of sardines and a sleeve or crackers as a mid afternoon snack. We had been pretty much stickling to the cheap/common brands mostly until I splurged on a selection from a local Portuguese market. The 7 different cans we purchased there varied from $5 to $8 in price. OUCH! Of those cans ( all very good but different) we liked the El Manar Mediterranean Sardines in Olive oil the best. We found the flesh of these med/large sardines being firm and the oil mild /not overpowering. There was also no fishy after taste as many brands have. (Even some of the better ones) The El Manar brand were notably better than what we had been buying for sure! . The only issue was that they were relatively expensive. Then, on a whim, I did a search here on Amazon for the brand and was amazed to find the exact same product at less than 1/2 price AND with next day delivery. I love shopping at Amazon and this is another reason why.

They are pretty decent!
I didn't know what to expect from this, but they are pretty good. There is definitely a different taste from the sardines that we are accustomed to in the USA (North America) that are imported from Canada. To me, there is more of a smokey flavor, and the taste of the fish is milder and less, "fishy". Although its packaged in olive oil, you cannot taste any olive flavor, but its still good. There also isn't really a salt issue. My only problem is that its a bit overpriced (from the seller that I chose), because the can is a bit smaller than what we're used to, but I would still buy it again.

Another Amazon SCAM BUSTED!
SCAMAZON rules! These are available at a fraction of the price if you google it. That's why they're unavailable on Amazon. I bought them once, then Amazon steered me to an inferior product. El Manar are great.

Bad cans
The sardines tasted OK but the packaging stinks. Very difficult to get the sardines out of the can. Almost cut my thumb trying to do it. I wonโt buy it again. I donโt know why you switched from chicken of the sea to this terrible stuff but anyway, so it goes.
