Hape Penguin Wobbler| Colorful Wobbling Penguin, Roly Poly Toy for Kids 6 Months+

I bought this before my baby was born for tummy time and started using it just days after birth. She was already curious about the noise from just a few days old! Now she is three months and starting to bat at it to make noise. It, and the Hape rainstick, are really the only toys that I found useful straight from birth, and that I foresee her enjoying for the next several months, if not longer. I love that it doesn’t require batteries and makes noise even with gentle movement from a baby. My baby is very easily overstimulated, but this is entertaining without overwhelming her. That being said, you will need to place the toy on a hard, flat surface. It will need manually moved on a rug or play mat. But on hardwood a gentle touch sends it rocking and even spinning! We love this toy!

This thing is my son's favorite toy. He got it as a Christmas present when he was only 4 months old, so couldn't interact with it a great deal, but loved watching it wobble and listening to the sound. Then at 5 months old, he because really into it, kicking and batting at it, and now at 6 months old, thinks it's amazing. It's fairly heavy for him, but he will still pick it up for a few seconds before dropping it. We put it on his Exersaucer and as he bounces and moves around, it makes this toy wobble around and play nice notes (similar to a xylophone sound, but with less vibration). For tummy time, he just loves it and reaches for it before the other toys we surround him with. It's very sturdy - he's dropped it off his Exersaucer numerous times, but it survives. It's a high quality toy that I would expect to be more expensive for its size, sturdiness and utility. Haba is a quality brand and we've loved all Haba toys in our collection, past and present.

Toy is cute and high quality, but I am not happy with wings flapping louder than the bell.

Very entertaining , colorful , and the music is very clear !

For one for my then 3 month old. Became an essential for her tummy time. Took it to baby group once and every single baby (1-10 months) was fascinated. It was picked up and dropped several times and nothing happened to it. Materials feel high quality and noise hasn’t become annoying despite constant use. Pretty easy to wipe clean after being passed through so many tiny hands and mouths.

I needed to purchase something to get up to the dollar amount to get next morning delivery so I added in this roly poly penguin toy. It is a very simple toy with a pleasant, mellow jingling when it is wobbling. The household I gifted the toy to had a "no noise" rule for toys but I figured this one would be okay. Luckily the baby loves it and the parents are enjoying their 7+ month old infant playing with it. It is also turning into a fun toy the baby is motivated to move/crawl towards. It is now on my list of things to give new parents.

The product info stated its made of wood. It also states child safe paint. However, it does not say that only the bottom & the wings are wood. The rest of the penguin is plastic.

Ce petit pingouin est vraiment très mignon. Il est de bonne taille pour les petites mains, avec de jolies couleurs et semble être de bonne qualité. Il fait du bruit et bascule bien, rien à redire. Il fait la joie de ma petite-fille d'un an !
