AMAZING. The non-toxic new smell airs out in a couple of days. It has made our meh mattress into an incredibly inviting luscious not too hard not too soft but just right cloud of comfort. It looks great, attaches easily, has no bumps, and supports our 70 year old backs. Plus, in a queen sized bed, I can’t feel my husband rolling around at night anymore. I recommend this, and I am sensitive to odors of new products—not this one. Plus it dissipates quickly. We love our ViscoSoft 4” Pillow Top Memory Foam Mattress Topper! Thinking of getting another for our other bed.

I have waited 5 months to leave a review. I wanted to make sure that all the bad reviews I read here were real or false. I have degenerative disc disease so I couldn't sleep in my bed with my husband anymore. I was sleeping in a recliner in the living room. I sell on eBay so I had an eBay room. With much discussion with my husband, we cleaned out my eBay room got me a hospital bed off of Facebook Marketplace and I finally ordered this mattress topper. Now it is important to tell you that I spent months researching mattress toppers. I read the good reviews and the bad. If I saw a common thread in the bad reviews then I didn't even think about going with that topper. Then I saw the video that Arzante posted with his 5-star review. I took a second look at this topper again. It was now at the top of my list. I received the topper a few days before my room was ready. So I was able to lay it out for a few days prior to sleeping on it. One thing I saw in several reviews on a lot of toppers was that there was a horrible chemical smell. Mine had no odor at all. That was the first thing I did when we got it opened was to take a big sniff and I didn't smell anything bad. I am a woman in my early 50s and I have horrible hot flashes. I also weigh over 250 pounds. I think it is important for you to know this for the second part of my review. I have read a lot of reviews complaining of the foam making them hot during the night or the foam flattened when used. This is why I wanted to wait 5 months to leave my review. I wanted to make sure I gave YOU accurate information. August in Iowa is unpleasant to begin with, but when you throw hot flashes into the mix it can be downright miserable. My wonderful husband put in a ceiling fan and a window air conditioner in my room. Along with an atomic clock that tells me the temperature in the room and what it is outside. I didn't have much trouble with being hot when sleeping with the topper. I was even using cotton sheets. Now it is Winter in Iowa. There are a few things I have figured out during my 5 months with my topper. Tencel or bamboo sheets are a must-have for those who run hot when they sleep. After the window air conditioner was taken out I did start waking up hot and had to uncover for a while. I am still using the ceiling fan and it helps. This is where the atomic clock comes in. I have also closed the vent in my room to our boiler so I get very little heat in my room. I prefer to go to bed when my room is at around 65 degrees. At times I wake up and my room is 71 - 73 degrees. Most days it is 69 degrees. With a room that cool and bamboo sheets I get chilled when I go to bed, but within minutes I am warmed up and perfectly comfortable. These are some of the things that I do to make sure my foam topper stays in good condition. At least once a month we strip the bed and flip the topper and make sure that what was at my feet is now at my head and the top is now the bottom. The topper is inspected for creases, rips, or tears. I have yet to find one. We also switch the hospital mattress from foot to head and vice versa. One of the things I was worried about using a foam topper was using an adjustable hospital bed. My head and feet are raised. What is this doing to the foam topper? Nothing. It is perfectly fine. This is important to know. When you wash the padded mattress cover DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER!!! Let it air dry. We read the instructions and dried it on low and it seems to have shrunk a little bit. In width not in length. It is about an inch narrower on both sides now. This isn't a huge deal, I don't sleep on the edge of the bed. Also, twin XL sheets are not going to fit perfectly on this bed. We got straps that make the sheets tighter. Deep pocket sheets are not your friend with a hospital bed. This is my take on this topper. It is comfortable. I do feel like I am being cradled when sleeping. I don't move much in my sleep as it is a twin bed and when it is adjusted it is hard to sleep on your side unless you flatten the bed more. My back and hip pain has diminished. It will never go away fully, but I don't have to wrap a heating pad around my lower back for an hour after getting up just to be able to move. This is not a firm topper, nor is it is super soft. I guess for me I am Goldilocks and I found the one that is just right. At the end of the day, it is about your preference. This is perfect for me and if I ever need to replace this topper I will be buying this same one again.

I wanted this mattress topper because I’m sleeping on a pretty firm mattress that would give me some pressure points on my shoulder and hip (I’m a side sleeper). I chose it over other comparable toppers because I really loved the plush cover/fitted sheet that also straps around the memory foam layer so it could keep everything from sliding all around. Even though I was worried that it would be too soft for me, I pulled the trigger. As it turns out, it is more plush than I would ideally like for sleeping, but I have decided to keep it on my bed anyway. I spend a fair amount of time sitting/relaxing in my bed during the daytime, and it’s sooo comfy for that! Like cocooning in a cloud of feathers. Unfortunately that translates into some low back pain for me in the mornings. That’s probably partly because I’m a side sleeper in addition to the softness of the sleep surface. Overall I definitely recommend it. The company was really helpful to me when I reached out with a question, and the topper/cover are really nice and feel very high quality. 4 stars is only because I wish it was firmer for my personal taste.

I rarely leave a review but this product has been life changing. SUPER comfortable and excellent quality. It has fixed my sleep and my back and shoulder pain. Absolutely love it and highly recommend it.

I bought a new, low end, extra firm beautyrest mattress 6 months ago which had great reviews saying it was good for back. Having disc, neck and vertebrae issues, I got it. It had a huge lump like it was folded when I got it. It was rock hard and felt like I was sleeping out in my driveway on asphalt. My back was getting ripped apart on it and I never felt worse. I could barely walk after 5 months on it. I couldn't afford to buy another mattress, so I figured I'm gonna try one more topper and if it doesn't work, I'm gonna have to go back to a waterbed mattress. I got a couple different mattress toppers, and I also already had a 4" memory foam one. All of them left me in horrible pain. I finally researched everything I could, and decided I'd be willing to spend a little more one last time and I could use it on a waterbed if it don't work. I don't know how long this is gonna last, but this topper changed everything. My bed, which was crushing my sciatic nerve cuz it was rock hard, is now comfortable and actually feels soft, but is firm still, unlike the other cheap 4" topper that felt cheap too. This topper has been having my back. I got some Beckham hotel pillows with it for my neck. I pray to God it lasts a long time cuz that mattress was a cheap piece of scrap and a huge disappointment for a beautyrest. I am so glad I got this. Trust me, all memory foam mattresses toppers aren't created equal. I highly recommend it. I like that it has the polyester topping too which is the main reason I got it. I need the down alternative cuz it's the best with the combination instead of just the foam. The price went up a lot since I bought it. I think they should put the price down, but seriously, as long as a person sleeps each day, I'm done with cheap mattresses. Your health is worth it. It'll save you $$ from chiropractor visits.

I grew up thinking mattress toppers were for old people whose bedrooms smelled like a nest. Swore I'd never use one. Well, I'm not old, (and my bedroom smells like sandalwood) but I have had several back and joint injuries from a hard-lived life, and my husband can say the same. We aren't spring chickens, and are still very active, but our rock-hard Sterns and Foster top of the line support mattress has become just a little TOO rock hard the last couple of years. Neither one of us has slept comfortably in a long time, but we both need a really, really firm mattress due to old injuries. He suggested I find us a good topper (since doubling up thickly quilted mattress pads wasn't doing anything) and I reluctantly agreed to try. I started reading reviews and after zeroing in on this one's unique two-piece construction, and reading several thoughtful reviews, I decided to give it a try knowing we'd return it promptly if it didn't meet our expectations. We got it on 6/6/23 and put it on the bed the next day after letting it fluff up from shipping. We've been sleeping on it for about 5 weeks now, so I'm confident in this review. First, NO SMELL whatsoever off the thing straight out of the package. I have a sensitive nose, so this was a great relief. It is a bit of a challenge to wrestle the whole thing into place the first time, but once it's on it doesn't walk around--it stays completely put. We are both restless sleepers, so that's saying something. We have both slept better in the last 5 weeks than we have in the last 5 years...it's that good. Virtually no hip, shoulder, or back pain for either of us now. And it is so doggone comfortable that it's actually hard for this morning person to resist lying in just a "liiiiiiiiitle" bit longer before launching my day now. Seriously. It's like sleeping on a firm, yet billowy cloud that supports the old bones, but coddles the muscles with luxurious, plushy, fluffy, soft deliciousness. Well worth the money, and then some. If your firm bed is too hard, do yourself a favor and invest in this delightful addition to your bedding ensemble. You. Will. Not. Regret. It.

I’ve been using a stone bed, and other mats would always slide around, which was very uncomfortable. But this mat stays in place and feels so cozy that I can finally get a deep, restful sleep. I honestly wish I had found this product much earlier—it would have saved me from buying several other mats that didn’t work as well. Now, thanks to this mat, my evenings feel so much more comfortable and enjoyable.

This is my third attempt to purchase a mattress topper to my liking. My first was too far. The second was too soft. This mattress topper is also less firm than I would like for it to be however it completely neutralized my sleep apnea with zero events per hour. So despite my desire for more firmness, it absolutely and positively aligned my body properly to get a better quality of rest. So all that to say, if you’re looking for a mattress, that’s not too firm but still offer support for decreased back pain and better quality sleep, I highly recommend this product

Not firm at all but it does bounce back well. Definitely would have preferred a firmer piece of foam. I've also had this mattress in open air for 2 weeks and it still smells. I will give it one more week otherwise I will return it.

It is a great product we love it. As expected though the smell although not strong still took a week to away.
