Wonderful, rich looking and very healthy.
I am a brunette originally, I have used this product same colour and I absolutely love it makes my hair looking healthy and feeling soft and full.

Super impressed!
I was nervous at first because the color looked like a greyish-poo color while mixing, but I trusted the process and I’m so glad I did! I’ve also never dyed my own hair before so I can with confidence that it’s pretty easy to figure out. The final result came out better than I could’ve ever expected and was done in about an hour after applying (No exaggeration!!!) My hair was purple and black before, and it turned into a gorgeous blackish-blue after. The color was really rich. What really surprised me is how long it lasted. About a year for me, even without using color-safe shampoo or conditioner. Very impressed with the results!

Great color
Have used this many times and I love the way the color comes out on my hair. This is a great light strawberry blonde. Makes hair soft. At first it’s a little darker, but it lasts and fades to a very pretty strawberry blonde. I only color about every 2 months or so. I have very light hair to begin with. People tell me it looks natural & pretty.

Nice dye that doesn't over dry my hair
I like this hair dye, it doesn't make my head itch, and the color seems not to fade as quickly as other brands. It's always a little darker the first week, but that's just because I just did the dye. Then it fades slowly and nicely. My hair is still soft and not dried out either. I will buy again.

Reds are beautiful but accuracy is a problem.
My natural color is a very, very light strawberry/reddish blonde, often mistaken for blonde or red, depending on lighting. I've been coloring for a couple of years. Based on my roots, I think I'm starting to grey. Blue eyes, cool fair skin, some freckles. The following are different shades that I've tried and my experience. 7RC - This is where my journey began. After an unfortunate temporary blue color that wasn't fully washing out, and an even more unfortunate interaction with Nice n Easy red, I was advised to use Schwarzkopf bond enforcing color remover, followed by a good quality level 7 red. This was quite pretty and true to the box on day one. Being new to red hair color, I took a hot shower on day two or three and my hair faded to orange. It was the first time I colored after using the color remover, so I hadn't built up a good base red, that might account for the dramatic change. I used 7RC for a few months and the color became darker and more saturated, a little better on the fading front (with a lot of care), but I always felt like a clown, it was just too red, too vibrant. 6RC - So I started mixing 7RC and 6RC 50/50 and that toned down the clown red, but it still was too vibrant. So then I did strictly 6RC for a year or more. It always came out crazy dark, like mahogany, reddish dark brown, but I could wash using normal temperature water and it would gradually fade to the prettiest copper. This was the color where I got compliments almost daily, whether it was dark or faded. Eventually I grew tiredof the dark and wanted to achieve that pretty copper on day one, not three weeks in 😄 8RC - So I used the color remover on my 6RC hair and used 8 RC color for a few months. It was coppery, it looked more natural and closer to the color on the box. It just wasn't very flattering on my cool, fair skin that flushes red easily. Much like my natural color, it also looked very different depending on lighting, and could look too vibrant at times. 7NRG - Around this time I saw the neutral reds for the first time. I thought this might be more flattering with my cool skin and eyes. It came out crazy dark, darker than 6RC, which comes out crazy dark. My hair looked dark brown. I had to be in the sun to show red, and it is much more resistant to fadng than the RC colors, though it has faded a bit, I still don't like how dark red/blackish brown the lengths are. I also don't love the condition my hair is in. Because of how much red fades, you have to recolor the lengths every month too. My wavy curls are now just sad waves, my once thick healthy hair feels dry and thin. Ive been using K18 a few times a month and heavily moisturizing products, and occasionally a bit of protein. I don't use the hair dryer too often. Now, I am aging, and I do have health conditions and medications that couldbe a factor, but I think that permanent color every month (my hair grows fast) may be adding to my problems. Currently trying to figure out where to go from here. I'm experimenting with Keracolor Clenditioner in Autumn, not sure it's sticking to my roots though... I have been very happy with Age Beautiful coverage. Reds are difficult and require a ton of upkeep, it's a known problem. 😕

Leaves a great shine and healthy thicker feeling
Long story short, this hair color is magnificent!!!! If I could give it 6 stars,I would. I had surgery in 12/24 and my hair has been thinning, this made my hair so healthy looking, fuller with just one use and felt like salon quality condition. Highly recommend!!!

Covers gray nicely!
I have premature gray hair in my 30s due to health issues and hereditary genes so I color my hair every 6 to 8 weeks. I was looking for a better solution than premixed box color which can be harsh if the developer is the wrong volume. I was hesitant to try color I needed to mix because I was terrified of getting a bad result or frying my hair. I saw this brand and decided to just try it out. I have thick, 3a curl pattern hair when I don't straighten it. This color was so easy to mix (1:1 ratio with 20 vol developer) and was about the same processing time as conventional box color. There are clear, multilingual instructions in the box if you need help figuring out processing time. They have a website with instructional videos if you are new to coloring hair. I did not view them as I have been coloring my own hair since I was 14 and have researched techniques over time. Don't panic if the color still looks like a neutral color creme when you first mix it as it will change tone as it's exposed to air. The smell was not overwhelming at all and was not runny. I used a brush to apply but you could also use a bottle if that is easier. I did not apply heat or use a bag like some people do but I was also not lightening my hair any levels. It rinsed out well and did not make my hair feel dry or straw like. I shampooed and conditioned normally and didn't need to use a conditioning mask. I don't see any hint of gray at all. I had bought double what I needed so now I have plenty to recolor through the summer! Highly recommend!

9AA Double Ash will likely turn your light or medium blonde hair green
TL;DR - this color has a lot of green in it and is not meant for light or medium blondes. It's probably best for light brown or dark blonde hair with strong orange/red tones. I've used Age Beautiful permanent color before and liked it. This review is for the particular shade, not the color line itself. I am now transitioning to my natural gray, and my stylist previously performed a gray blending service. After a color remover and lightening service, the ends of my hair are somewhere between a Level 7 and Level 8 blonde. I regularly tone with a purple-blue conditioner to remove the yellow and orange tones and give it the ashy gray color that blends with my natural gray. I love the look, but it's a lot of maintenance. I don't always have 15 minutes to stand in the shower and let my tinted conditioner do its thing, so I was hoping to shortcut the process with the 9AA Double Ash. My stylist gave me a good refresher education on color theory and what colors cancel each other, and she told me that I could either maintain with a purple-blue product at home or come back to her for monthly toning services. I opted to try at-home maintenance, and over the past year I have learned a lot about gray color products. They are typically based on one of two base colors...purple (which counteracts yellow tones), and blue (which counteracts orange tones). If you choose a gray product with the wrong base color for the tones in your hair, then you are going to end up with a big hair color oops. Knowing this, I reached out to Age Beautiful's customer care to ask which base they used in the 9AA Ash Blonde. They responded that this color has a gray AND green base, and they didn't tell me if it was a purple gray or a blue gray. I know that a lot of ash colors have at least a little green in them, and it didn't matter to me if it was purple or blue-based gray since I have both yellow and orange tones. Instead of asking more questions as I should have, I thought I would try it. I applied it to my processed ends only, and while the color was developing, it looked like it was doing what I wanted. And it is definitely a blue-based gray. But once I rinsed and dried, the green tint showed up with a vengeance. This color was a lot greener than I was expecting, and because my hair is porous from previous services, it sucked it all up. Cue slight panic and immediate internet searching to find the appropriate, red-tinted product to now tone out the green without messing up my gray. Thank goodness for the advice that clarifying shampoo sometimes helps, and I immediately washed in my Olaplex 4C clarifying shampoo. It got a lot of the green out on the first wash because the hair cuticle had not closed yet, and I wore my hair up for a few days to hide my greenish ends before another round of clarifying shampoo. The green all came out by the second wash. In the end, the color did tone out the orange from my hair, so I couldn't be mad. But it did leave the yellow behind (expected), so I still had to follow-up with another purple toner again to address that. This shade didn't save me any time/maintenance or provide the amazing gray color shown by the manufacturer. But that's because this color wasn't right for my starting color, and I had to learn the hard way. The 9AA Double Ash Blonde shade really isn't for anyone in the light to medium blonde range. And that's a shame for those of us who lightened our hair specifically to color it gray and were hoping to avoid the constant upkeep. If you really want to understand your current hair color tones and what tones will work with your hair to give you the look you want, I love Ugly Duckling's Hair Color Levels and Undertones and Neutralizing Colors charts. According to them, the blue/green combo in this color is likely best for light brown or dark blonde hair with strong orange tones. If you are lighter than that or do not have orange/red tones in your hair, your hair will likely turn green with this shade.

No developer- what a useless product!
Why sell something that you can’t use whithout the other bit! Who sells developer separate to hair color! Seriously. Talk about making life difficult ….

Age Beautiful Hair Dye
Ive been dying my hair for 30 years noth at home/salon. The older you get the harder it is to cover grey hair + the frequency gets shorter + shorter between dyes. Discovering Age Beautiful Hair Dye has been fantastic. OMG!! Permanent Hair Colour that stays its rich deep colour + doesnt wash out down the drain. doesn't start to fade after 1 week + lasts (me - might be different for ea user) 4-5 weeks depending on how much regrowth you are ok with. I have mid-long hair + got x3 "dyes" from 2 tubes. just ordered 3 more tunes. THE BEST DIY Hair Dye EVER. Thank You xx
