This is delicious and a huge pack. It will last for ages, so represents great value. You will need a container to put it in. Quite a high heat level, so you don't need much. It's appearance is of an orange/red powder with black sesame seeds in it. I use a sprinkle on instant noodles along with fresh ginger, spring onion and a drizzle of toasted sesame oil to enhance the flavour. It transforms a cheap dish into something approaching gourmet.

After doing some research into different spices from around the world I come across this one and I wanted to try it and as a fan of chilli I was hoping this was going to be good and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve cooked with it in my food and it was okay, but then I read the instructions and it says to put it on your food so I did so I am a great fan of home-made Ramen noodles and I buy fresh noodles from a local Asian market and make my own Ramen at home and this just adds that flash of citrus and chilli all mixed together which was just fabulous. I can highly recommend it. I’ve even tried it on chicken breast as a typical seasoning and it works as just as good like that.

Nanami Togarashi is a great flavour combination with a real chilli kick that enlivens foods way beyond its Japanese origins and will quickly become a store cupboard favourite.

Much cheaper than buying the little glass jars, I use this to refill them now. Brilliant product that give a spicy flavour kick to anything really; good on eggs, noodles, chips or as a rub for meats, I’ve even made spicy biltong with it!

Kitchen staple. I do add extra hulled hemp and my homemade cayenne pepper into it and decant from this big bag and put it in the little glass jars 🫙 you get. The big back works out far more economical than buying the tiny jars. It gets sprinkled on far more than just sushi 🍣 in my home.

Not your typical chili mix. I mix this with bulgur to give it a kick!

Pretty much the standard in shichimi & bulk bag will last a long time. Easier to dose in cooking with a spoon than a thousand shakes from a small bottle
