The leg bag (1000 mL) fits perfectly in the pocket and drains easily out through a small slit at the bottom of the pocket. The pockets of the shorts are placed in such a way that they don't obstruct the pockets of my pants. I have a 34 inch waist and ordered the XL because I had read that it might be wise to order a size larger. That proved to be correct. The shorts wash and dry well with minimal shrinkage.
