Excellent mug feel and beautiful design
I loved the feeling of the mug since it has a somewhat matte finish rather than the usual shiny finish. The blue color is so vibrant and rich that it draws my attention each morning. The building designs are extremely interesting to look at as well, and it has helped me with writing since that is usually when I drink tea or coffee. The only downside is that one day I had it on my couch and it fell about a foot and broke. Very heartbreaking moment since this was my favorite mug.

A very nice mug
This was a Christmas gift to my dad, who's an architect. At first I kind of felt like, who really needs another mug in their lives. However, the concept was too cool to pass up and I figured, he could just leave it on his desk at work. Actually, he really loves it and I have to agree, it's a beautiful shade of blueprint blue, the drawings are very detailed and quite clear, and the mug itself has a nice heft to it. I would definitely recommend this mug to anyone who is a building nut.

Not the one I ordered.
Why is it not glazed? The main ad shows it as glazed. The last one I bought 3 years ago was glazed and was eye-catching, but, this is mat finish and very very subdued and ordinary looking.

Great gift for Architect
I bought this as a gift for my brother who's an Architect an when he opened the box the look on his face was priceless! He drinks a lot of coffee an builds mega structures so what better way to give him something to hold his coffee while he draws out his structural plans for projects.If you have an Architect in your family get him / her one of these , then watch their facial expression as they open the box!I'd buy this again

I got this as a gift for a family member who is a plans examiner. He loves it! So do his coworkers. The matte finish is super cool. I have several mugs from Unemployed Philosopher’s Guild. I LOVE them all!
