Earth Pods® Organic Bonsai & Lucky Bamboo Fertilizer Spikes, 100 Capsules

I ordered this product because we have 3 types of bamboo throughout our property that we use as privacy screens. They were looking a little weak and scraggly and needed help, despite the various types of soil amendments I've used. Even though the product suggests for indoor use, I was curious to see if it would work outdoors.Barely weeks later, not only have the leaves turned a bright, healthy green, but the many new culms that have sprouted are looking very robust! Some bamboo are in planters and some in the ground, all outdoors- they are doing equally well. I am going to try them in my lemon grass next! I especially love that it is a chemical-free, natural product, it's not messy and so easy to apply .My only regret is I didn't take before and after photos...Thank you!

I just received my bottle 1 month ago - not even a full month ago. I'm in SoCal, & fortunately, we got a good amount of rain the day these arrived. I spread about half the capsules along a 30'-long row of 25'-tall bamboo as it started. Looking at it closely a month later, I must have another 30+ sprouts already 3-6' tall... It's really amazing. Yes, bamboo can grow & spread rapidly, but I've been in my house for 17 years & never seen it grow like THIS. Used about half my bottle for first application last month; about to use the rest before the heat gets too consistent. Clearly, bamboo LOVES this stuff. I also dumped a capsule into a planter I use for basil after my last 2 "living" grocery store transplants didn't do well. The current one is growing like a weed, just like my bamboo! I typically avoid reviewing things anymore but this deserved the rave review. If you can; do like I did & let rain do the job vs. "tap" water when you first apply. I can't help but think that was a good part of this "taking" so well after many attempts over the years. Nothing's done the trick like this & I will be back for more!

Great product. I had moved my bamboo to a larger container because it had outgrown it's old one. After transplanting it the leaves started to droop. I added these to the water and it perked back up after a few days and now has a new branch forming. It does leave a dirt like residue in the water though.

i ran out of other bamboo fertilizer, and was on the hunt for something better. i though it would give this a try. i wasn’t sure how efficient these would be on water bound bamboo, but instructions were easy to follow. when the water level got a little lower, i opened the capsul and sprinkled the contents around the bamboo, then added some new water to top it off and sorta “mix” the contents into the water. maybe next time i will experiment with pre mixing the capsul contents with water and then add to bamboo container, with or without a dropper? it does leave sediment on the bottom but you honestly never notice it unless you really really look at it. i have a glass straw in my bamboo container and i use that to drain water without having to take out the stones every time i do a water change. less disturbance to the roots, but i will do a big container clean when i feel the container really needs it. i’m excited to see how the roots thrive on my smaller bamboo with this fertilizer in the months to come. so far, so happy.

I really wanted this to work but unfortunately there's been no change to any of my bamboo. This was very expensive so I had high hopes

I recently began growing Bonsai trees, and noticed that they started looking like they needed fertilizer. I looked around at the options, and chose the EarthPods due to the reviews and the easy application. Within a couple of weeks of the first application my plants (especially my ficus) started looking healthier (greener, and they quit dropping leaves/needles). I will definitely continue to use this product. I simply push one of the pods into the soil every two weeks. Very easy with improvement to the overall plant health. I definitely recommend for bonsai growers!

I have a golden gate, ginseng and dwarf jade bonsai tree. I keep them all indoor under led plant lights and away from direct sunlight, drafts etc. I’ve been using EarthPods BAMBOO + BONSAI fertilizer capsules for just over a month. Lots of new growth on all three of my bonsai, leaves are now extra green. I mist the top of the soil mostly so that when I water the trees, the water doesn’t flow off the edge of the pot instead of in the soil. Before I water the bonsai, I gently move some of the rocks and pebbles and press 2-4 close to the bottom of the trees near the roots but not to deep. Then I recover with the rocks and pebbles I moved aside and water the trees. I use them every 16-18 days (I have a reminder set on my phone). I saw instant results the first week! Will buy again!

I have used this product twice, but it hasn't helped my tree reach the desired soil fertility range. Go with a liquid fertilizer that’s half of the $50 wasted on this product.

I was looking for a more simple solution than measuring liquid fertilizer for the tiny amounts needed for 2 small indoor plants. This is a simple pill form that you press into the soil. I have new shoots positively bursting out of my healthier plant, and new budding starting on my plant that I feared dead, had dropped all leaves. This after only 2 weeks. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Very Convenient! When you don't know how much is too much fertilizer for your bonsai Which I love having, this makes it so Easy, So worth the couple of Xtra Bucks! And the leaves on the tree just reached up the next day looking wonderful, Thankyou so Much!

Seems to work fine, not sure if plant is growing naturally or with aid of this product. Nothing has died
