GoPro HERO4 Black Edition Camera (Renewed)

I'm building a quadcopter, the gimbal and quad are specifically made and wired for a GoPro Hero 3 or 4. I got a refurbished GoPro Hero 4 black so I could shoot 4k while flying the quad. It's like a new camera, had the protective case, battery, charger, mount and mount tape just like it was new. It even had the plastic film over the display to protect against scratches. It works perfectly, even remotely with the app. I also have a factory GoPro mount in my Tacoma which I never used so now I can use the GoPro Hero 4 when 4 wheeling. I couldn't be more pleased about my purchase.

I bought this refurb gopro even though the reviews were iffy. I wasn't sure what to expect. It arrived on time. I opened the box put the battery in the gopro and tried to power on. It would not power on. So i charged the battery for four hours. Turned it on and died right away. I e-mailed the seller and they promptly sent me a used battery. Put the battery in and the gopro worked.... Customer service i give a 100% satisfactory rating. No issues with the gopro at this point...if you're looking to buy a gopro on a budget, buy this one. If i could give 10 stars i would....dont belive all the bad reviews. Now i am sure with these being refurbished im sure one will make it past quality check and may have problems.. That goes with anything refurbished or even brand new. Give these guys a chance im sure you wont be dissatisfied....

I got the camera in a un market box and that was fine. The cool thing is they added not only the original gopro battery but they gave me 2 extra ones. The camera is in great condition and it working as intended. Now the charging station for the 2 extra batteries was very dirty and sticky. I threw it out almost immediately. And one ofnthe extra batteries had some of the paper casing wrinkled on one side so im going to test that one and make sure its ok.

1 batter doesn't even charge, the other one discharges in a few minutes or overheats the GoPro and it just shuts off. Formatted the SD card (that's listed as compatible on gopro's site) and resetted the camera with no success. The windows infront of the display is falling off. Total waste of effort.

There are numerous reviews out there, so I will simply say I bought refurbished & it was cheaper and looks and works perfectly. I use it when riding and it produces good videos, which I save on a SD card, then upload to my PC through the GoPro app.

~Skip to bottom for conclusion~ First time purchasing a refurbished item, and first time purchasing a GoPro after being disappointed with a low-quality action cam. -First, the camera itself was in great condition, it looks and feels brand new. No scratches on the camera whatsoever, no scratches on the lens, nothing seems slow or clunky in the LCD menu, shoots great video with great audio, BUT.. -They did not send me an original GoPro waterproof housing case, which I understand, BUT, the case they sent me was such a cheap knockoff that I had to pay 20$ to buy another one, which means I could have just bought a brand new one on amazon for 170.. The plastic is so cheap and the glass over the lens smudges from seemingly just the air. -Worst of all, the case does not fully close on the corners, meaning it is NOT even waterproof. What's the point of the case? -Next, 2 batteries were sent. Pretty sure one of them is originally from GoPro, but the other is a knockoff and is a bit beat up, need to push hard to get it to go in. Battery life isn't that good at all. -I didn't need accessories as I bought a pack for my previous action cam, but don't expect any from the refurbished buy. Came with 2 flat adhesive mounts. All in all: 5 stars for the great quality of the camera -2 stars because I had to spend 20$ to buy a new waterproof case, meaning I could have bought a brand new Hero4 Black from amazon instead, avoiding any problems that I had. Already ordered a new case and drilled a hole in this crappy one over the speaker to make it useful as an audio-case, but I shouldn't have had to get a new case when one was supposed to be included and be WORKING.

Super easy to set up on my new drone. A friend gave me a drone as a gift and I mounted this on it. Worked GREAT... the 2 1/2 times I got to use it. The third time I took it up for a flight... it lost signal and flew away. bummer BUT the camera worked great and gave a great picture while I was using it! Thanks!!

It works but the front plate was held in place with tape, which hid a crack. Camera heats up quite a bit more than another that is identical. Battery went completely dead after a very few uses. I think I would have been better off buying used rather than refurbished. Once these cameras are opened up — you can only hope that it will go back together right!!! Waaaaay overpriced!

Actual image was too fishbowl like for the application I was intending it for. Truly is an action cam but distance objects looked miles away although close up activities was portrayed beautifully and color and quality of image was great. Would definitely entertain buying refurbished again.

Everything looked great, no scratches or wear. The GoPro started up initially after I charged it but once I powered it down, it would not start up again. I will provide update.

Love it. Too bad these things are so pricey. The refurb is just fine. Works well. Invest in a good SD card
