An updated classic
This book arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I haven't noticed much difference in content from the previous edition, but I haven't examined it in detail. Some of the photos have been updated and of course it includes all the current official Munros. I found this book very useful planning a couple of recent day walks. It it practical and readable and easy to navigate. The small discount on the RRP was a wee bonus.

For your coffee table and planning desk.
Great photos for each walk. Indispensible reading while choosing your next attempt. (Not to take on the hills! - the maps are schematic and there is not enough detail in the route description for when you are on the gournd). Timings are one way and staged to the various route choices - which may or may not be helpful! Love having it around at home - for quick reference.

Essential working guide and great table book
This is a fantastic book for anyone who is thinking of bagging some, or all of Scotlandโs Munroโs. I use it when doing research and preparation for my walks; itโs definitely not suitable for taking on your travels. The spine of the book is quite fragile so itโs worth handling with care; the images are great and if you donโt fancy tackling the Munroโs itโs still an interesting read or great table book to start conversation. It is intended as a guide though and I have always found the information to be accurate and helpful. Definitely worth picking up!

The book to have!
Could do with sons photo updated but otherwise a grand book to help plan oneโs trips to the hills. Even just as a book to read, it serves to educate and provide great info on the Scottish Munros.

the munros SMC hillwalkers guide
this book is brilliant it has all the information you need to start munro bagging with loads of photos so you know what the area is like before you get there you still require the relevant maps and compass etc no book is a substitute for good navigation skills and map reading capabillity

It would be too heavy to carry on a walk but perfect for making preparations
The book contains all the information you should need to ascend the munros, though of course you'll need to get the appropriate maps and know how to use a compass. It would be too heavy to carry on a walk but perfect for making preparations. The photos are inspiring.

Exactly as described - really great book!
This was bought as part of my 1 year anniversary present to my husband as it is 'paper' We have a young family & don't really have a lot of time for ourselves, I thought this would be great to count them down and plan some trips just for us! We would love to do all of the munros!
