If you color, you need one of these
Saw one of these somewhere on a video and had to check it out. glad I did! It was just what I needed to correct those tiny mistakes made when coloring when you don’t want to erase more than just a tiny spot. Just position where you want and hold down firmly. Not super sturdy like metal. Won’t bend when erasing but the piece as a whole does have some bend to it so it is possibly breakable (only reason not 5 stars). Since you get three in the package and the price is right, and I think you’d really have to do something on purpose to it or leave it in a compromising position to break it, this is So worth it. If you color, you really need one in your tool box

Two for the price of three
You might think you're getting three different templates when you order this. You are not, at least I didn't. I received two the same and a third was different from the other two. Disappoiinting.

A good product, but a little flimsy
This product is sufficient for the purpose. I had one that used to belong to my uncle who worked as a draftsman for NASA. It was a thicker gauge, and I just can't find it. This one is configured exactly the same, probably the same stainless steel material, but just a hair thinner than mine. The thickness doesn't matter in the usage of the product, but I'm afraid I might bend it by accident. I have to be careful in handling it. But otherwise, it suits the purpose intended, and I would buy them again if I needed them.

Really good for getting those small details.
I use eraser guards lot while drawing. The one I had before was good but I couldn’t get extremely detailed stuff with it. With this I’ve been able to get more detailed sketches without erasing anything I wanted to keep. The right angles let me make sharp points, the rounded triangular spaces are great, and it even includes extra shapes for finer detail. I will say it bends easily so it can you’ll to be careful not to bend it but that’s pretty standard with eraser guards in general. Really solid and highly recommend.

Does the job just as well as the name brands
I am not sure why it was asking me to rate "sheerness." It's a a piece of metal. Completely opaque LOL!I purchased this for my adult coloring projects. Occasionally I will accidentally color outside the line, and eraser shields are the solution to avoid erasing more than I want to. Note: most colored pencils won't erase completely like graphite, but do lift sufficiently as long as the mark is not too deep. Keep in mind eraser shields are flimsy so you must take care not to bend them, as they cannot be bent back perfectly flat.

A must-have for artists or technical drawing
I make technical schematics by hand because I don't always have access to the same computer all the time, nor do I always have Internet access. Trying to carefully erase portions of the drawing is difficult, regardless of how small the eraser is. This eraser shield can be a god-send at times. It is thin enough that it allows easy access to the paper but, being steel, isn't susceptible to breaking. There are a number of different sized and shaped openings, though sometimes I would like smaller straight lines or alternative shapes, e.g. ovals. However, with a little bit of trying different shapes, you can usually find one that does the job.In a pinch, you can use it as a simple drawing template, but the steel edge will quickly eat into your lead. The edge can also eat up your eraser, especially with some of the smaller shapes.Overall, it is a valuable tool for anyone working with erasable media.

Too reflective
I first used one of these working in an engineering dept., though truthfully it was for art. I threw those away thinking I had no longer use for them, then decided to draw again requiring me to buy these. These are thinner than those I had before, and the cut outs seem a little different, but my main issue is the reflection off the metal. It makes it hard to see what you are trying to erase because of refection. I solved it by painting it w. flat primer, but don't know how it will hold up to frequent erasing. Probably will need to paint if again as needed. None of the above issues is the manf. fault. Just the way the shield is.

... think i would ever need them but they are amazing and so useful
I was asked to buy these for my design module at uni and didn't think i would ever need them but they are amazing and so useful, it makes a huge difference. If you are doing art or any design work it's worth giving them a go to see how amazing they are.
