Glycerin Soap, Amber 12-Pack, 4.4 Oz Ea

As someone who has tried a wide variety of cleansers from high end body washes to dermatologist-recommended bars I wanted to give a thorough, unbiased review of Pears Pure & Gentle Glycerin Soap. Performance: This is a mild, low-lather soap that prioritizes skin comfort over heavy foaming. It cleans effectively without leaving behind residue or that overly “squeaky” feeling, which can often indicate dryness. Skin feel & hydration: The glycerin content is the standout here. It helps maintain moisture balance, making this especially suitable for dry or sensitive skin types. After consistent use, I noticed my skin felt softer and less tight post-shower compared to traditional bar soaps. Ingredients & gentleness: Formulated with gentle oils and minimal irritants, this soap performs well for those who are sensitive to heavily fragranced or harsh products. It’s simple, functional, and does what it claims. Scent: Very light and clean. It won’t compete with perfumes or lotions, which is a plus for many users. Longevity & value: The bar lasts a reasonable amount of time if kept dry between uses. For the price point, it offers solid value and consistent results. Who this is best for: • Sensitive or dry skin • Those looking for a straightforward, no-frills cleanser • Anyone wanting a gentle daily soap without unnecessary additives Final verdict: Pears glycerin soap remains a dependable, budget-friendly option that delivers on its promise of gentle cleansing. It may not offer a luxurious lather, but it excels where it mattersskin comfort and simplicity.

Pears soap has been a favorite for a long time, and it never disappoints. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean without that tight, dried-out feeling you get from other bar soaps. It's very mild, has a lovely subtle scent, and works perfectly for sensitive skin. The pure glycerin formula is fantastic

Very refreshing after bathing and clean afterwards feeling

It says it’s fragrance free, but it smells clean to me. It’s moisturizing and good soap.

Lots to love about this soap. I really enjoy the silky soft lather I work up with my African net sponge. It is non-greasy but feels like I’m pampering my skin. I definitely noticed an improvement in the overall feel and moisture after using it. It smells lovely and I much prefer this scent to the original amber colored bar, though that isn’t bad. My only problem is the longevity, which is the same with all the scents. Because it’s glycerine it doesn’t last nearly as long as other soaps, even when kept out of direct water spray. I keep mine in a draining soap dish on the edge of my tub outside the curtain and just with daily use I can use up a bar within 3-4 weeks depending on the time of year. Sometimes I need a cool shower at night if temps are high. I wish it lasted longer but such is the tradeoff for a soap I enjoy. Before this I hadn’t used bar soap in almost 20 years and this is the only bar soap I will buy. I’ve repurchased it many times and will continue to as long as the formula stays the same.

At least one manufacturer makes a quality affordable NOT MESSY bar of soap. Everything other than craft bars just dissolve so quickly, or turn to mush. Anyway, I really appreciate this soap bar.

A wonderful soap, I have been a fan for years. Gentle rinses off beautifully highly recommended.

I've used this soap forever, but I can no longer find it in my local grocery store. It's gentle enough to use as a facial soap, but for your entire body as well. And, it leaves hardly any residue, which makes cleaning your tub/shower much easier!

Good

It is a quality product and well worth the purchase

These soaps are an old-fashioned make & are as pure as you can get.

My wife loves this soap, and I think that's enough said!
