Why did the price go from $30 to $12?

So I called the manufacturer of this product. Third party companies or individuals buy their product then put it up for sale on Amazon. The shelf life is 2 years for this product. So if its older than that, return it and buy directly from the manufacturer. This may be the reason for the price decrease - unloading old product.

Are their any heavy metals or Mercury in this product? consumers that eat meat would they benifit bone strength and wellness?

I have not tested the product for metals Yes vitamin D is a benefit as meat is not a source of vitamin D.

What is the benefit of D2? where dose it come from? is it plant base?

Vitamin D2 is the most utilized vitamin of our body. Really cool science to research further. It has several functions. The label says plant based.

Where are the contents sourced?

If you look at the label's supplement facts panel, there is a trademark for the Vitamin D3 - VegaD3Light. This is D3 derived from Lichen therefore the D3 in this product is vegan not from animal. The person who answered D3 is animal-derived is not aware, you now get vegan D3 from lichen - algae and fungi which grows on trees and rocks.
