Be sure to use wire ties to tie up excess wires. Be sure to wire to the accessory side of the ignition. That way, the turn signals will only activate when the ignition switch is on. Mine came with a rocker switch which I tend to leave on. Going down the road with your turn signal on makes me look like the old man that I am.
