Candy Clip-In MTB Bike Pedal - Gravel/XC/Trail Lightweight Bicycle Pedal, 4 Sided Entry, Customizable Float, Premium Bearings

Cheap and as light as my Eggbeaters. I don't know how that works but I'm happy. I've had bearings go bad on Candy's in the past but at this price/weight/function they're hard to beat. Clete is small and keeps the MTB style shoes very walkable. I consider these comparable to a road platform with a carbon soled shoe.

I have these on my MTB and primarily ride over the river and through the woods. They are well built - I have a couple of years on them and they are holding up very well. Easy to clip in and out. They have enough flexibility to let me find the right angles ... so my knees don't work after a long day of riding. Prior to this set, I had another set of Crank Brothers. They too lasted a long time, but I hit a rock with the pedal and thus the need for replacement (my fault). Obviously I recommend.

I've had original egg beater pedals for years, pair that I used on all My bikes mountain bikes and road bikes. Then I got a pair of the platform pedals from egg beater which I find a little bit hard to get into. The candy 2 pedals are the best of all even easier to get into than the egg beaters and release the same. With all these pedals you have to take the time to get them right turn the cleats to the position where you can get out put shims as in the instructions until you get get everything dialed. But then they're great I like them better than the Shimano style which I could never really get used to

I have a few pair of crank bros pedals, and really enjoy them. I have gotten “stuck” in them, and fallen over several times. I can’t say that wouldn’t happen with other brands, but haven’t tried them. Great quality, good price, no issues installing them. Prob will continue to buy them.

These pedals are simple and great! We have Candy pedals on all our dirt/dirt machines and needed another set. It’s so great that these pedals are available in affordable to obscenely expensive.

I have been out of cycling for about 10 years and started to get back into riding. I had previously used Speedplay Frog pedals, but they are out of business. I am toed out and the frogs were great for my knees. I tried these pedals with some pedal extenders and they are great! No knee pain whatsoever! Thank you Crankbrothers!

I use these on my road bike. Clipping into these pedals is much easier than it was on my Shimano SPD-SL pedals. Unclipping is also easier. This was important to me because in the event of a spill, your conscious mind doesn't have time to think about what your feet should be doing. Consequently, I use the "Easy Release" 0 degree float cleats. The narrower platform of the MTB pedal does lead to foot numbness more quickly than my Shimano's did but the Candy style mediates this somewhat and the pluses outweigh the minuses in my experience.

These are my third pair of Crank Brothers pedals ... I have them on each of my bikes and have been using them without problems for at least a decade. I started with the original 'eggbeaters' which are still in use on my mountain bike. The forerunner of these Candy's went on my first hybrid (on which I've ridden thousands of km), and these Candy 1's have been fitted to my first eBike. They arrive nicely boxed (good enough to be gift wrapped if needed) together with a set of the cleats. Note that these are not interchangeable with SPD-type cleats/pedals. I've done a few hundred kilometres on these and they have performed faultlessly. I expect them to continue for years. Unlike the original eggbeaters, you can only clip into the Candy's on two faces of the pedal, but the connection is secure and the float - determined by the cleats - is more than enough to avoid knee problems. The cleats tend to wear and I've probably replaced a couple of sets over the last decade, but that's a small price to pay for the ease of engaging them and heir mud/much shedding capabilities. I walk around in the mud in my cycling shoes and have had very few problems with them being too clogged to engage. When, or more likely IF, they pack up and wear out I'll buy another pair. Highly recommended.
