Once we realize that the circle plastic was a seal or ring or gasket, it worked wonders Very confusing because both top and bottom read “bottom”

Good replacement for my Presto canner. I like that there are 2 to the package because I like to keep extra parts just in case.

The top piece is labeled bottom. The bottom piece is also labeled bottom. The smaller piece should be labeled TOP. If you buy these make sure to assemble them correctly.

All of the pieces were the right dimension for the older vent valve (see photos of the older vent valve as well as the cracked washer) but one of the washers that arrived with the new one had a crescent-shaped cut out of it so I'm going to have to return these and get a replacement. Normally I wouldn't mind but since the old washer cracked, that crescent creates less surface area which could create a weak spot once that washer is used with heat.
