Absolutely unbelievable for the price!
The media could not be loaded. It arrived the day after I ordered and I'm a bit speechless...The packaging is robust and looks great. The saber arrived fully assembled and with no battery power. After charging for an hour, I turned it on and... wow!I can't believe that it has a real pixel blade at this price! The settings are easy to work through using the instructions on the product page. The lights and sounds are incredible! It has volume control too!Whenever I see a review like this on Amazon, I assume the product was given free. I paid full price and I'm already debating ordering another so I can dual my son.The hilt feels like aluminium and has a nice weight and balance. The blade itself feels really strong and I'm not concerned about it breaking.I think this is the happiest I've ever been with an amazon product.

Lack of features described on product page. Clearly returned faulty item. Huge disappointment.
The media could not be loaded. I understand that Amazon is responsible for shipping, but I don't understand why the seller allows the re-sending of previously returned defective goods. As you can see in the photos, the box is damaged. There is no protective foil on the blade. The wire that should have secured the charging cable moved freely inside the box. The motion control mentioned on the product page does not work (because it does not exist). But worst of all, I didn't hear any of the sounds other reviewers report on the videos. What I heard (you can also hear it in the attached video) is one big whistle, similar to microphone audio feedback. The only plus is the really bright and color changing blade.I don't recommend it if you don't want to lose your hearing.Return procedure in progress.

great saber for the price
this is my first lightsaber and so far it has been great fun. My main issue with it is the instructions that come with it, while they provide some information they do not explain it very well. I was also disappointed to find there was no motion control unless there was a way to toggle it on or off however I have been unable to find such, another thing is the sound quality, the sounds are often glitchy. other than this the saber is great, would have loved more plain colors (like in the example video) unless again I just don't know how to toggle them on. again I think this is absolutely great quality for the price as most pixel sabres cost over £100

good sound effects
The media could not be loaded. Upgraded Smooth Swing Light Saber with Metal Hilt, USB Rechargeable Light Sword with 11 Battle Sounds for Kids Adults Cosplay (Pixel - Black)I am reminded of an episode of The Big Bang Theory purchasing this rather pricey Light Saber. Will a kid appreciate the workmanship that goes into this sword, possibly. For an adult into collecting Star Wars items and avid cosplay enthusiasts then this is a must. The rechargeable battery should last for 3-4 hours which should be long enough to last an afternoon of exhausting battle. All the controls changes are in the one button on the handle as is usual with light sabers. The sound effects are superb and change with the swing of the saber. I love the effect of the rainbow ring lights which are bright and very unusual.Bit awkward when first testing it out as I wanted to see what it looked like in the dark and get a decent photo. I got up at 3am took out the light saber and placed it on a chair. I switched it on and and its a lot louder than I was expecting with no outside sounds to interrupt. At this point I hadn't checked the manual on how to turn it off and managed to put it into battle mode! I took a quick video and shut the light saber in the bathroom, closing the door in the hope of silencing it. At this point I could hear a steady humming sound emanating from the room. Rushed to the box to read the instructions - press button for 4 seconds to put in standby mode. Panic over. Note to self: do not test in middle of night again. The saber stayed nice and quiet in standby mode for the allotted 5 minutes and switched itself off. It is now resting in its box and will not disturb anyone's dreams again tonight.

Don't feel it's worth the price...
Quite a hefty price on this really which I don't quite understand, I don't quite get what makes it worth that much. I guess for enthusiasts/collectors it's a small price tag for a light saber but I wouldn't advise anyone getting this for a children. It could be too easily broken to something of that price. I'm impressed how bright it is, too bright if anything to be honest. Hurts your eyes to look at it directly. Hate the noises it makes too... it works though, it does what it says it does.. I just don't like the price..

Some good features, but several weak points
This is supplied in a strong cardboard box suitable for storage. The handle is one piece of metal, and the balance of the sabre is impressive; the ribbing on the handle makes it easy to grip. Overall it feels good to hold. There is a wide range of lights, sounds and effects to choose from, for example battle mode, where you can pretend to deflect laser fire. The sabre lights from end to end, with no light gaps. The sabre makes an authentic “fisszzch” noise, just like the film. You get two to three hours of noisy fighting time per charge. When recharging, there is a (badly worded) announcement telling you the charge is complete.Sounds good, doesn’t it? Unfortunately it has some serious limitations:- The motion detector and hit sensor work only 50-70% of the time, making the sabre unreliable for role play- There are several feaures which spoil the overall appearance: the tip of the sabre is badly made (you can see this even in some of the product photos); the USB port is uncovered, and a matching aluminium port cover would have looked miles better; when the sabre is turned off, the opaque plastic looks very cheap-There is only one button for all the commands, and selection is a bit haphazard-The sound is very tinny and loud. You can turn this down by using the button, but you would have to do this every time you use the sabreAt least some of these issues could have been avoided at minimal cost. If you want to buy a sabre, best to bite the bullet and fork out the extra 50% for the official FX item.
