XS Scuba Passage Dry Snorkels

I purchased this for a trip to the Galapagos. I tried it in a local pool prior to the trip to ensure it worked. It worked there and in the Pacific ocean, too! I had great confidence in the device especially the valve which closes if you submerge. I had no fear of inhaling water. This gave me confidence to snorkel effectively.

Took it on a river adventure and it worked really great. Held up and didn’t have to worry about water getting in. Value for money was there. Very light and easy to handle.

As a first time snorkeled I wanted a one that would block water from entering and drain water from the snorkel automatically and this snorkel did just that! I highly recommend this product

This snorkel has a few nice feature but it is difficult to use due to the purge or dry top not allowing air inflow with a slight body rotation to the right. I would not recommend this for a beginner. It tested well in the pool and the mouthpiece is very comfortable. I swam in open water for 99 min and there was no jaw fatigue. I had to be mindful of the natural right rotation and this throws rhythm and rotation off for long swims. It would also take in some water that at times was difficult to clear due to the above noted shut down. It excels in terms of a comfortable mouthpiece. Beyond that it is unfortunately and possible unsafe. Will return it.

Came off in the water. Otherwise great. Had to buy replacement.

Do not buy this snorkel. I used it for the first time while diving and the valve kept closing such that I could not breath. I tried using it on a whale shark snorkeling venture on the same trip - the same thing happened. And, it was random. One minute I thought it would work again, and the next, it stopped up. I had an experienced dive master try to fix it to no avail. Very disappoining for a new product that had not been used previously.

I purchased this snorkel for my trip to Australia. During my snorkeling trips the valve at the top kept getting stuck, completely blocking the air and causing me to come out of the water for air. This was very frustrating and possibly unsafe for inexperienced snorkelers. I been scuba diving and snorkeling for 14 years and this snorkel has been the worse, I had never had a snorkel completely cut the air out of me.

Last day to snorkel after 3 days of diving and I couldn’t use it as the valve was sticking. Had to use snorkel from the excursion's snorkels.
