EDIT: After a few days use, I've updated from 4 stars to 5 stars as this truly is an excellent product. I originally deducted 1 star because of the hidden wifi network issue, but that will not be an issue for 99% of people who use this, and it's an easy problem to workaround Set up was slightly weird, but fairly straight forward. Instructions are pretty much non existent, and just point you towards the app. There seemed to be a choice of 3 apps to install, but I think I got the right one! The only gripe I have is that it didn't seem possible to connect the Kettle to a network with a hidden SSID as you can only select from the available list of WiFi networks, and not manually add one. Not a major issue (and certainly not something that will affect many people), but slightly annoying for me. Once on the network, Alexa integration was nice and easy, and it works well. Using the app is also straightforward, and is quite feature rich. Personally, I would have also liked to see a fill window on the kettle, but that's not the end of the world as you can monitor the level from the app. All told - I'm really pleased with it, and would definitely recommend it. I have also tried the AppKettle which unfortunately had to go back as it had network issues, and was very unreliable. The iKettle wins easily!

We've had the kettle for 3.5 years, initially we were really impressed and loved the alexa integration, however, I can no longer recommend this kettle due to the following reasons: The lid is flimsy, and weakens over time. Only months after we bought it, it started feeling looser on one side making it difficult to close. I contacted smarter who never got back to me and offered no help. Expect any support tickets to be closed automatically after weeks with no reply. Just recently the lid has stuck closed, so we can't fill the kettle or clean it inside, making it essentially useless. We expected a £100 kettle to be better quality and last longer. It's now destined to be landfill. The alexa integration relies on a skill, which is often unreliable, and occasionally does not work for extended periods of time. Once when the kettle stopped responding I went through rebooting the kettle, resetting the network connection, the app, and then when I got to resetting the skill, I realised it had disappeared from the alexa skills store. In fact it stayed disappeared for several weeks, turning the kettle into the not so smarter kettle. The whole outside shell of the kettle is dangerously hot after it has boiled - like scalding, red hot. If you accidental touch the side of the kettle or brush your hand against it (and you will), you'll burn yourself. No safe double wall here! The stainless steel shell looks good but unsightly limescale builds up around the spout and the top of the kettle around the lid, detracting from the look. It's a fingerprint magnet too (probably because if you touch it accidentally your skin burns off onto it...) If there was any other kettle that had alexa integration I'd say go for that one instead. However there isn't, so just get a "dumb" kettle instead, if you buy this one it will spend much of it's time not-so-smartly anyway...

Great smart kettle, to start with it looks great on my kitchen counter. Wi-fi was easy to set up and the app is clear and neatly designed, you can tell a lot of work has gone into developing this. The app is really clear and does not throw a lot at you. When you open the app the first screen shows the water level and the temp with a sliding scale you can drag along to pick any temperature you want. It also has 3 quick set buttons, one set at 85 degrees for tea, one at 95 degrees for coffee and one at 100 degrees for boiling water. I’ve recently come to learn that anything over those temps and you just end up burning your tea bag or coffee granules. I’ve set it up to my alexa, again very easy, I did have a slight hiccup with this but after contacting the Smarter customer service team and realising I had skipped some of the set-up instructions it was all working fine. It even has a formula mode which heats to 100 degrees then cools to your desired temperature, not that this is of any use to me but thought I’d point it out. I’ve yet to try some of the other modes it has like the wake up or home mode but will update this review once I’ve used the iKettle for a few more weeks. So far a great smart kettle, I highly recommend it.

The first one of these I had was broken, but thankfully it was replaced very quickly. The kettle is a breeze to set up... If you can see. Unfortunately I can't, which meant I had to rely on someone else to hold my phone over the base in exactly the correct position. Hopefully the company will address this, as otherwise it's a nicely accessible piece of kit. Once set up, ,we discovered that, due to its poor wireless pick up, we needed to install an extender in our kitchen. Not a problem as we had a spare, but a bit poor, as other gadgets down there were happily picking up the signal. That said, once it was installed, the kettle worked beautifully. I could change the temperature and start it boiling. Google and Alexa integration were perfect and easy to set up, and the kettle worked like a dream first time. Be aware that the outer skin does get hot if, like me, you're someone who needs to touch the kettle before they pour. We solved this by sewing a neoprene cover for the jug and it's worked fine for me ever since. I still use this kettle on a daily basis, and love it as much as the day I bought it. It might seem expensive, but for someone who finds it difficult to walk around, or for somebody who actually quite fancies having a hot kettle ready to go right when they get in from work, this is just perfect. My one tip? Remember to always fill it with water after you've finished! It doesn't have a cut switch if it's empty, so this is really, really important.

Smarter products bought from Smarter at much reduced prices during festive season and made smart differences to our lives once you get past the setup stage with good WiFi. iKettle 3 helps boil water to the preferred temperature for every individual family member to pour straight out for tea, coffee and a hot or look-warm drink, based on requirements and are spot on, avoiding diluting guesswork. The manual touch to boil button on base looks very nice, instead of many buttons. It auto boils for your preset time and with home mode activated, will boil kettle by the time you get home, saving that precious waiting time. It was a breeze to setup once instructions followed and Siri Shortcuts added. The only sticking point was when WiFi router was changed and needed hard reset and support team have done a great work and been very helpful. Smarter products, in my view, are the Teslas of the Kitchen and the interest will get bigger once more people become aware of the possibilities especially with Siri shortcuts for tea, coffee or manual preset so Smarter, keep up the great work.

Admittedly I'm not so technically advanced but I have to say its relatively simple, download the app and connect and away you go. I'm also linked to Alexa and no issues at all. Decent looking kettle, little bit on the heavy side but to be honest gives it a quality feel. Out of all the smart tech out there, if your an office worker or someone who works from home i'd strongly recommend this product. Literally boil your kettle whilst getting ready for your meetings. Saves me a good ten minutes each morning and throughout the day. Looking forward to your next product! Great customer service also I might add.

Don’t waste your money. This kettle is not cheap, yet it’s incredibly frustrating to use. It works fine until you move house. Once you change your Wi-Fi, the kettle refuses to reconnect unless you disconnect it from the old network first which is impossible if you no longer live there. So essentially, if you move home, the “smart” features become useless. I contacted customer support and waited two months for a reply. When they finally responded, the message was vague and unhelpful. They simply said they had received reports of the same issue but provided no real solution. Because of this, I can no longer change the settings from warm to hot, and the kettle has effectively become useless. I had to pack it away. To make matters worse, I moved house just after the warranty expired, leaving me stuck with an expensive product that doesn’t work properly. For a “smart” kettle, this is a very poor design flaw and extremely disappointing customer support.

Fantastic. I was unsure about purchasing this kettle for quite a while mainly due to the price but I'm glad i did eventually get it. Very easy to set up on mine & my wife phone. It looks smart & complements the look of the kitchen. It can be operated manually like a normal kettle just by pressing the button on the base. I like the option on the app to check how much water is in the kettle & you can also get it to keep the water warm for a set period of time. Schedules can be set up so if you get up at around the same time every day or arrive home from work at a set time you can get the kettle to automatically boil. We have set ours up with Alexa/Echo which was very straight forward & all we have to do is say "Alexa, put the kettle on" We have also linked it up to a virtual button in samsung smart things/action tiles on our wall mounted tablets so as your walking past you can just press the button in the hall way for example to start the kettle boiling. Another automation i have set up is to have the kettle boil when i get up in the morning. For me every day is different so i hardly ever get up at the same time every day so have set up an automation that boils the kettle when the ensuite bathroom light is turned on between the hours of 4:00 & 8:00 am. The list of automations you could set up with this is endless as its also linked with IFTTT, you could get it to boil when you are parking on your drive, boil when you turn on your tv ect. In my opinion it's well worth the money & i wish i had got one earlier.

Ich nutze diesen Wasserkocher hauptsächlich um die Fläschchen für meinen Sohn zu machen. Ich kann ihn auf exakt 37°C einstellen und muss nicht mehr hin und her spielen bis ich die richtige Temperatur erreicht habe. Lässt sich super leicht mit Alexa verbinden und auch hier kann man voreingestellte Sprachbefehle nutzen um verschiedene Temperatur einzustellen. Schönes Design.

El producto NO FUNCIONA CON ALEXA. Las instrucciones SÓLO están en inglés. Ikeetle NO es compatible con Alexa desde hace años en Europa. El fabricante retiró la skill y dejó de ser compatible en Europa. El vendedor no me ha solucionado el problema después de esperar semanas. El artículo no cumple la normativa Europea, ha que viene todo en inglés. Su venta es ilegal y la descripción engañosa. NO CAIGÁIS EN EL ENGAÑO. Además, no tiene doble casco, no está aislada térmicamente y es peligrosa al tacto, yo ya me he quemé en el segundo uso. Es un hervidor barato con un precio fuera de mercado. Las hay de marca Xiaomi por 40 euros que son infinitamente mejores que ikeetle y también son smart con wifi y mejor calidad de construcción y componentes. El precio es desproporcionado, sólo justificado por su compatibilidad con Alexa, qué sorpresa, repito: NO LO ES EN EUROPA, la skill fue retirada hace años. Espero que esto sirva de ayuda para alguien.

The weight or water level sensor never worked on mine but support never replied to my queries. The temperature sensor is also not very precise. You set it on 50°, the water will be around 57°. And again, there is no support to answer your queries . So shop around!

Super nöjd. Smarta funktionen hos vattenkokaren uppfyllde förväntan! Positivt enkel att använda samt enkel att koppla upp mot google och app. Däremot vad som skulle kunna varit bättre är nivå mätaren som ger en grov/dålig uppskattning av mängd vatten i bryggaren.
