i bought this just to have around for emergencies and it’s already been worth every penny. the case is small enough to just toss in a drawer or a bag but it actually has everything you’d need like needles, a ton of thread colors, and even some scissors that actually cut.it’s super easy to use even if you aren't a pro at sewing and the quality of the tools is way better than i expected for the price. i used it to fix a rip in my jeans and a loose button on a work shirt and it worked perfectly. definitely a must have for travelers or anyone living in a dorm who doesn't have a full sewing machine handy. 5 stars for sure.

Nothing in this kit should be confused with anything top quality. But it is for quick repairs and it suffices for me. It comes with what you might need for throwing a whip stitch so keep your expectations reasonable.The thread worked okay except I had one heck of a time figuring out where the end of it was. I poked around with a needle where I saw what I thought was the loose end. After five minutes or so, I got it. Other spools would have had the end stuck in a slot, but these appear to be spooled to challenge the patient. I did end up cutting my own slot in the cardboard spool to secure the loose end.The scissors are usable. And thank goodness for having a needle threader because the needle eyes leave something to be desired.I'm not rating this kit on how good it is on its own merits. I'm rating this based on price and the fact that I don't usually need to sew things. So for a $6 kit, and keeping my expectations low, I'm reasonably satisfied.
