Cystophan Capsules for Cats for Urinary and Bladder Health, Meat-Free Chicken Flavour, 240 Capsules

My cat had a urine blockage a week ago today and he was hospitalised for 2 days on a catheter and nearly died. We were recommended these by our vet and so far so good. We have had him home for 5 days and he’s been taking these since with his food and adding water to enhance hydration. They must taste good cause he hasn’t turned his nose up and he’s fussy. They mix well with his food + the water. Unsure yet as they have the calming affect but I have been given more advice on supplements. I have two cats, so will have to order another bottle in two weeks but if it keeps them both healthy and happy then I don’t care. Great product!

I knew that this worked but I've also combined it with another uterine product and give some calming tablets to her at the same time. This stuff is wonderful, it's easy to administer in some yoghurt or cream cheese and I imagine there is no taste to it as she is happy to eat it all and lick up what is not always mixed in. Its highly effective as its improved her being able to urinate in a couple of days. However this is something you must use every day either as an initial treatment or on a maintenance dose. Wow!! I never leave reviews, however this product definitely deserves one! My cat was very poorly and backwards and forwards to the vets just after Christmas. They diagnosed him with urethral spasms and sent home with 4 different medications to administer twice a day. This was difficult and even hiding the tablets wasn't working. His condition got worse and he ended up with cystitis and a urethral blockage and underwent surgery. He was sent home the same day and within 5 days was leaking/ peeing blood again and in a considerable amount of pain and discomfort. I decided to research what could help with FIC and came across these with great reviews. I thought I would give them a go and have nothing to lose. Well... within a day i started to notice a difference and after 2 days my cat was back to his playful, happy self. No struggles peeing, and not a spot of blood or urine leakage in sight. These are quite literally a 'miracle capsule'! I started with 2 x capsules daily (one in the morning and one in the evening) mixed into a tablespoon of wet food and he hasn't noticed or declined it at all! I will drop down to the 1 capsule maintenance dose soon and always have them to hand if I know a stressful situation is coming to avoid another £2000 vet bill! Honestly, I cannot recommend this product enough!

My 13yr old female spayed cat has, for the past 12 months, been having problems with spraying and peeing around the house. She has always been a bit of a sensitive flower but despite being given all the attention, care, food and shelter she has always had and wanted, she seemed to go through a phase of being especially upset, and the weeing seemed to be stress-induced, possibly triggered by a bout of cystitis. I took her to the vet who looked for problems including tumours but she was found to be in top condition. The only explanation I could see was perhaps a food issue(allergy, sensitivity), stress(too many foxes or other cats in her neighbourhood all of a sudden or some kind of mental issue (old age, dementia or something). I've tried other products designed to relieve stress in cats, including some incredibly expensive vet prescribed food(£28 for 2KG!!!!) and none of these things have worked. Of course until I try a long process of elimination I won't know for sure that these pills are solely responsible. But she has been on one a day sprinkled into her Felix(we keep her on one brand now with a little added water to make a gravy to ward off cystitis problems from dehydration) for a month now and she has shown a drastic improvement. We also keep her in, now she stays in for most of the day and has a 3-4hr session out in the garden, rather than the 10-12hrs she used to have. Before she would seem distressed and unhappy, yeowling to go out every five minutes. When outside she wouldn't use her dirt box but she would go to every available bare patch of soil and squat there, or she would walk around and scratch a circuit of bare patches into the grass. In the house she would wee on everything if she was in a particularly agitated mood, on shopping bags, chairs, door frames, sofa cushions. We couldn't trust her anywhere, and she used to be perfectly consistent, she would ask if she needed to go out and use the dirt box I have set up in a flowerbed for her. For nearly a month now she has shown a steady improvement and although we now keep a litter box indoors for her she is trustworthy in all areas. I tried Cystaid and Cystaid Plus but neither seemed to have the same effect. They do have slightly different ingredients as far as I could tell from the labels. So, all I can say is that since starting my cat on Cystophan capsules she has shown a marked improvement. But I cannot guarantee it is from the pills alone. However if you and your cat are suffering the same problems as we were then it might be worth a try. Just be aware that my cat doesn't actually have cystitis, but some kind of irritation that presents like cystitis without some of the symptoms. If your cat DOES have the usual cystitis symptoms you should seek veterinary advice. Hope this helps. PJ

My cat recently had a scary episode of cystitis that caused blood in his urine and severe discomfort. Our vet recommended Cystophan, and it worked like a charm. Within less than two weeks of starting the capsules, the blood completely cleared up, and his bathroom habits went totally back to normal. It is incredibly easy to administer, too—I just twist the capsule open and mix the powder into his wet food, which he eats with no complaints due to the chicken flavor. This supplement was a total lifesaver for his bladder health and peace of mind!

Always buy this when my cat has an infection. Works really well and a great price.

Im not normally one to leave a review but this product really deserves one. My cat suffers with crystals in her urine which makes her wee alot of blood. Ive tried allsorts to help her, including 2 different antibiotics from the vet that didn't work. 3 days after starting her on these her symptoms stopped, the bleeding has gone and she is so much better now. So worth a try if your going through the same thing. Hope this helps.

Couldn't say either way whether it's really helping. We did two rounds (two jars) for a fair trial in conjunction with other environmental stress control measures. Found it easy enough to administer to the cat - the capsules can be opened and sprinkled onto food, which they had no problem eating. Have taken a break from it for now, but may retry if symptoms/behaviour changes.
