I have had numerous belts and have at least 6 in my drawer that are the old traditional style with a buckle and the holes. I have probably thrown out a dozen before because of wear and tear and weight changes. I have had belts I needed to add holes to increase size or ability to make the belt fit a smaller waist size. I have used my drill on numerous standard belts to add holes for better fit. I found this nice leather belt with the ratcheting system to adjust the fit to my waist. The first thought I had after using this belt is, I’m not going back to the old traditional style belt now. I also thought why did it take this long to develop this simple idea! If you have always bought the traditional style belt usually, you have to try this belt. It is so much easier to even put on not having to keep adjusting to which hole will work for my current condition. With this belt just thread it around like standard belt and pass it through the slot like usual, then just hold the buckle and grab the end of the belt and pull! You will hear it start clicking and at the same time holding that notch until you pull harder to get a snug fit. This thing is just slick, I love it. I can easily adjust my belt tighter with a tug anytime during the day. The belt will just keep going to the next notch until you find the right snugness. I just use this same belt for all occasions and can pick the black or brown or both to go with any pants. The style is a dress type style very simple and I use it with my jeans also! The only belt I will buy is this type and maybe both colors and that will do it for me. I have been losing weight and the ratchet belt is just a must have! I am going to throw out all my old traditional belts of which I always kept buying numerous ones to fit me. I am probably at a 42 waist right now and I used the belt length exactly as it came out of the box. I have room to go larger and much smaller with the ratcheting range of the belt. If you find that you have a large amount of belt extending from the buckle to fit your size, you can just cut the belt at the square end as needed and place back in the buckle and lock it down that’s it. Don’t cut the end that goes into to buckle when putting in the belt. Cut the square end not the end that has the tapered end!

I don't know why everyone doesn't use ratchet belts, they're great. This is the third one I've purchased. I first got a Viniciobelt but the large width and big buckle made it more of a casual belt to be worn with jeans and khakis. This belt's buckle and width is a good size to be used with dress attire in the office. Only complaint is that the last teeth on the belt is 4.5 cm from the end of belt which leaves a bit of tail extending beyond the buckle when fastened. The Marino belt I purchased doesn't have this problem and is a superior belt, but those cost twice as much which make these a better value. Note: I initially had a issue with the order that came but contacted the seller who provided excellent customer service in resolving the issue and tossed in a free nice key chain for my troubles.

I bought this belt for my son a year ago and so far it has hold up well still no tears just little worn off. He has been using the belt for church so I'm guessing not much of problem with the belt. My only complaint is the buckle it sometimes slides off not sure how..but other than that good belt.

Bought for my son who needs a new belt for job interviewing and as he enters the work world. Just what he needs. Looks great. And after owning a few ratchet belts I believe they're the future of belts. Couple things to be aware of when buying these belts. First, there are at least two versions of ratchet mechanisms. The original design--still sold on Amazon--operates with a button protruding out the side, is thick and therefore uncomfortable. It looks "clunky" and operates in a "clunky" fashion. Avoid it. This belt uses the new, sleeker and easier to operate buckle. Second be aware of the grades of leather straps used. The strap on this belt is made from "genuine leather". It's the same quality grade you'd get in most belts found in stores and the same grade used on the seats in my BMW. More expensive belts sometimes offer "top grain" or more expensive yet, "full grain" leather. The advantage of genuine leather is the grain can be made to look perfect and it's less expensive. The downside is it will not age gracefully nor last a century like a well loved saddle. But its not that kind of belt anyway. And at this price, a great buy.

Came as expected

Edit: seller reached out saying there was a bad batch of buckles. New belt sent and the open space I was talking about has been fixed on new belt. It latches and stays latched. I would do four stars since it didn't work at first, but their customer support and care for quality is always worth an extra star to me. (Old review: I should have listened to the other negative reviews. It doesn't stay latched. I exhale and it opens up, I'm a 36" waist. There is no latching at all going on with the belt. It just has too much room between the latch and the metal guide. The belt is thin enough that it doesn't clasp on to the ratchet points. I even had 2 other people try it on, and see if it was just me. It's not.)

this out does rubber belts that faiil and this can be helpful to adjust on the waist for any patns or shorts. Best belt ever from seen on tv.

The rachet style tightening is very practical

Looks good and functions well. Not real leather belt but still seems pretty decent quality.

Belt itself looks good. The images on the listing showed a material bag in a gift box. The item did not arrive in either. It was in a plastic bag instead. Disappointing as I bought this for a gift.
