No small parts at all! It does come wrapped in a plastic bag. After you remove that, I think it would be okay for a baby...

How big are the small Shiba puppies?

I did not get the Shiba set. I got the Unicorn Puppies set and I measured the puppies at 4 1/2 inches long from nose to the tip of their long tail and 4 inches tall not counting their unicorn horn. I hope that helps.
