Good consistency spackle
I was shocked how well this worked and how cheap it was ($3.05 with tax). It had a good consistency, easy to apply and work with. Didn't dry quickly either. Seems strong. I used on a hole about a 5 inch circle, and it worked. I used it to fill several other small holes. It wasn't too hard to smooth flat, except the big hole which took a lot of work not to look bumpy. Having good applicator flat tools with serrations is key. The only annoying thing is that we have to paint over the grey spots to return to white wall color. It doesn't smell great, but there are low fumes. Overall amazing bang for buck.

this is a time saving product for patching
This is great stuff. I was expecting it to not work as well as advertised. I used it to fill around the cut-in for an old work box (electrical wiring), where I damaged the drywall a bit, and was expecting to have to use more than one coat. Nope! It may have shrank a little bit, but not much, so I didn't have to go back. This dried or cured in about 30 minutes, and was ready to paint. I used an old credit card to do the fill, and the texture match was fine to the flat paint. This is white, and since the outlet was in a utility room and the walls were white, I didn't even have to paint. The consistency is kind of weird, like spackle, but it holds together better, sticks a little better, and sets up much nicer. Very easy to work with, I didn't have to sand it, and I'm not coordinated enough to do that with regular spackle. Strong enough to work on the corner around an electrical box, but of course not strong enough for screw or device holding. I think if you work in the trades, other than new construction, and have to fix your own drywall dings, you need this stuff. It really does save time. For a homeowner, you can do the multi-step thing w/ any patch material - apply, wait, apply more, wait, , sand, prime, wait, paint, but this stuff saves a lot of that work.

Perfect Spackle!
This spackle has the perfect consistency. It’s not too watery or rigid making it very easy to work with. It’s also easy to sand without cracking like other brands.

I ordered this by accident thinking it was regular spackle
So this will work fine to cover 1-2 small holes. However, I ordered it thinking it was regular spackle and it is not and I needed to fix an entire bathroom where the person I hired damaged the drywall taking the wallpaper off. Total mess. Needed to spackle and then sand and then paint, and then do it again to get the places I missed. The whole bathroom is a mess. This does not go on nearly as smoothly as regular spackle. It is more rubbery. For a few small patches, no big deal, but for doing a whole bathroom it is a total hassle because you have to put it on thinker to get good coverage and get it to be somewhat smooth. I ordered it because I didn't want to go to Lowes and buy any so I just got whatever I could order from amazon to arrive soon (because of covid-19 - didn't want to get out). So it is okay but only for very small holes/projects. Not for anything major.

better than conventional compound as it drys quicker and without shrinkage
Although cost is a lot higher than the traditional compound, I really think it is worth it as it really helps speed up the patching process if you are in a hurry. Nice and soft like the automotive compound and yet the textures feels like the joint compound with extra smoothness and without the dripping liquid. Great for small dings on the wall. For larger patch area, it might get too expensive. Nerveless, it is a great product without producing a mess.

Great And Easy To Use!
This fixed our major 6" x 5" drywall blemish! Our drywall did not have a hole all the way through it, but did have a large area where the drywall finish was ripped off down to the dry wall boards. We needed to fix this blemish before putting on our adhesive kitchen backsplash. This was easy to use. We are not handy with fixing things at all. We were able to put this on in two layers and sanded the entire wall with an electric hand sanding tool. Our backsplash looks great and was easy to install over this alone. We didn't have to use mesh as it was only down to the drywall board. Very happy with the end result and was able to use this to patch to fix our nail holes in our other rooms as well.

BEST EVER - makes me look like a pro
So surprised the difference a brand of spackle makes. This is truely the BEST EVER. Home has mid-60s solid plaster walls. After recent plumbing disaster, there was some scattered spalling of the paint in toward the bottom of the walls. Back to original bare plaster after knocking the spalled paint away. Needed a very sheer coat to smooth the surface. My prior household standard brand just didn't work. Fell out with sanding. Reviews loved the 3M. It's true. It is night and day better. Holds it's bond in very thin coats, but can handle a pretty big "fill" too. Makes me look like a pro. Good dry time, no shrinkage. Exceptional.

Great When It's Fresh
1st EXPERIENCE: I recently bought one tub and found the texture to be great. It was light and fluffy, and spread very well. I was so concerned about it drying out that I (1) only accessed it by curling up one corner of the tub's lid. And (2) I'd shut it right away after each dip. And every now and then, (3) I inserted a mister nozzle and gave it a spritz of water. Further, (4) I kept the tub stored in a heavy duty zip-lock baggie. It took about a week to use it up on our project. 2nd EXPERIENCE: Last night, I opened my newly ordered 2nd tub. To open, you have to snap off one lid corner so it can be removed. Then you also pull off the inner foil seal. Everything seemed fine. And then I my applicator hit a "wall." The product was 75% hardened against the lid, while the remainder was liquidy. I can't tell you the science behind how it both dried and liquified but it wasn't good. Just now, I opened the 2nd tub that came in this shipment and found the same problem. I say hardened, but I do not mean completely solidified in those parts. However, still unusable. DECISION: The lid is garbage in any case. The product will dry out extremely fast without misting and extra protection. And the inner foil seal didn't lock in moisture prior to opening. So if you do get a good tub, be prepared to protect it from moisture loss. I have requested replacement tubs. I'm hoping the next ones will be as good as the very 1st one. We'll see... Update 8/5/21: Just opened the 2 replacement tubs. This is ridiculous. Each was still sealed with their plastic lid tab, but there were no inner foil seals! So they’re about 75% hardened. Basically, even worse than before. I still hold to my comment on this being great when fresh. But there is no quality control here, whether lid seal or not, whether foil seal or not. They didn’t care to make this with any thing in mind but forcing the customer to consume as much as possible as fast as possible. Returning these - again. I don’t have time for this.
