Excellent as a second monitor or general-purpose display
I bought two of these to add extra screens to some home PCs and they've performed very well for that role. The image quality is good, the 100Hz refresh rate makes general desktop use feel noticeably smoother than older 60Hz office monitors, and the screen size works nicely for productivity, web browsing and media consumption. The eye care features were also a nice bonus for longer sessions in front of the screen. For me, these have been excellent as secondary monitors or as general-purpose displays for everyday use. That said, if your main priority is competitive gaming or very high refresh rates, I'd probably look elsewhere and spend a little more on something aimed specifically at gaming, particularly if you're targeting 144Hz, 165Hz or higher refresh rates. Overall, these have been reliable, good value monitors that did exactly what I wanted them to do and I'd happily buy them again.

Great monitor at a very good price
I was in the market for a new monitor and this one came in at the right price at the right time. This monitor is certainly very well put together, it is supplied with a stand that slides into the back of it, and it stands up on my desk in the right position with no adjustments, the power button and menu buttons are on the back of the monitor, so these are out of the way but only in an awkward position if you have to change settings all the time which most people don't. The monitor has input for HDMI and DisplayPort, it also comes with an HDMI cable to plug it in straight away. I don't believe this monitor is equipped with audio as my computer didn't detect this on the HDMI port so you would need external speakers connected to the computer, not an issue for me as I already had these but the video quality is very good indeed and helps a lot when you edit videos for YouTube like I do. I can't comment how well this would work for gaming because I don't play PC based games, but for my video and graphic editing purposes it certainly does the job and the colours on the screen are vivid, outdoing my laptop screen by a long way. The monitor does come with a quick start guide but MSI have a full manual on their website which is easy enough to find. Very pleased with this and having had experience with MSI motherboards being of very good quality I expected this monitor would be just as good, I was not wrong

Superb value for money
My Dell 2405FPW finally died after 18 years and I was looking for a replacement but didn't want to spend a lot of money, as I don't care for 8K gaming, curved screens or any other gimmicks. This popped up so I searched around various sites for reviews which were surprisingly positive, the only negatives being a general lack of features, fair build quality and 6-bit + FRC as opposed to true 8-bit colour. As my desktop use is primarily browsing/reading and watching videos I decided to give it a go. Ordered Friday, delivered Monday (included in the ยฃ69 total) I opened the box, slid out the polystyrene inserts and set it up. This is very simple and requires no tools: plug the stand into the base, press into the back of the screen, clip in the cable tidy, plug in the separate power brick, insert either an HDMI or DisplayPort cable, press the rear power button and you're all set. The screen tilts but doesn't adjust for height (didn't bother me) and all display controls are situated on the right at the rear, including the power light. I only accessed these once when setting it up so can't complain about the location, plus it gives a minimalist & tidy appearance. It also lacks the USB ports and card reader of my Dell, but I found a USB hub & card reader in my spares bin, so problem solved. There is a slot at the front of the stand which is ideal for standing your phone in (sideways) which is a nice touch. No speakers, but they would no doubt be puny if included and I always use external speakers so this isn't an issue. I always turn the brightness, contrast and colour settings down to give a more natural appearance to images and was pleased to see it was capable of a 100Hz refresh rate (tested successfully), compared with the 75Hz of my old Dell. Subjectively, text appears slightly sharper than the Dell, blacks are black rather than dark grey (a strength of VA LCD panels), and video playback is smooth without tearing or artefacts. I occasionally play old DOS games and had no complaints with fast movement or response times. Before using it I ran a dead-pixel checker which displays/cycles primary colours to help locate any dead or stuck pixels, an unfortunate drawback of LCD technology. Manufacturers generally state that a couple of these outside of the main viewing area are deemed acceptable and not considered a fault. My Dell had one stuck (blue) pixel at the very top of the screen which was not an issue during use but slightly irritating all the same, so I was pleasantly surprised at the complete absence of any faulty pixels on the MSI. Time will tell with regards longevity but so far so good. I will update this review in a few months. 12/06/2024 - update Nothing untoward to report, still working fine.

The price is justified and it is good.
Monitor is good. The quality isnโt the best but it is more than perfect for people who just want to use the monitor as a second screen. For productivity purposes and such. Brightness is good with it being adjustable. The monitor stand isnโt adjustable which is a bummer.

Good to buy on sale; recommend for anyone looking for basic monitor for work, leisure etc.
A really good monitor to use when working from home, watching movies or youtube, gaming, etc. Sometimes I do feel like it isn't bright enough when it's especially bright outside (and my curtains aren't thick enough to block the daylight) but for the most part, it's very easy to see the screen and comfortable to look at it for extended periods of time. I got this on a discount on Prime day so I would say it is especially good for the price but I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone who wants a very fancy monitor. This was also fairly easy to set up and start using (provided your laptop has a HDMI port of course).

DO NOT TRUST THE LISTING
The listing advertises this as having built-in speakers, and Amazon's AI tool also backs this up telling me it had 2x 2watt speakers. Come to arrival there is absolutely no speakers (I've checked every menu, manual and button I could see) nor an AUX port for speakers. It only has 1x DP, 1x HDMI and a power cable, so there is limited potential to even add an external speaker. Had I known this I wouldn't have bought this monitor
