Review: Everything I ever wanted in a handheld console and a whole bunch more. - Best retro handheld ever!!! I'm relatively new to the anbernic party. I'm an 80s baby so I lived in the greatest gaming decade. This little thing has an SD card loaded with games. 4,929 games to be exact. There are a few that don't really work 100% correctly but that can be fixed by changing the emulator program. Mine came with a 64GB SD card that only had the numbers 64 on it(super generic and won't last long at all.) To fix this, get yourself a brand named micro SD card with at least 128GB of storage. You will need an usb external card reader unless you have a laptop with a fairly newer set-up of connections. Google how to copy SD card for use with an anbernic handheld gaming console. You will have to download 2 programs to copy the games to the desktop and then to the better SD card. If you wanted to do so, you could also change the emulator software that comes loaded to one that you like better or prefer to use. I've only found 3 games that didn't work properly but they could work properly with a better emulator loaded to it. You absolutely can change the emulator without affecting any of the games on the SD card but my advice would be to just clone the whole SD card, just in case something were to go wrong during the process of getting your handheld going so you won't lose any of the great "gems" of retro gaming thats included on the SD card. Changing the emulation software is a little scary but it is worth it and really you could just start back over again cause the SD cards contents would still be save to the desktop on whatever computer you use to get set up. So to recap just clone the card directly out of the handheld. This will guarantee that you don't affect any of the game files that are included on the SD card. Once that is done you can load a NEW SD card with an updated emulator of your choice. If you're successful with doing that, you can then load the software that was on the card that is now saved to the desktop, onto the new branded SD card. Once that is done you can enjoy you new retro handheld. Trust me it is worth all the jitters you'll get during the whole entire process. The best part is you'll learn a ton about "homebrew" gaming. It definitely won't be your last anbernic handheld and it could even be something you have zero idea of what is available right now. Like a whole handheld build entirely by your own hands from software chips to the buttons you smash while playing, its really more rewarding than you think. You can even add your own games by doing a little Google search. You'll be glad you bought this handheld just like I am.
