Great film camera!
My daughter and her photography instructor loves this camera! He always uses her camera for giving instructions to the class. My kid thinks I'm great for buying her this model but I know that its one of the easiest to use for beginners hands down!

Camera is good quality
Camera works good but lens cap came smashed is the lens and broke the plastic rim but glass in lens wasn't damaged a few signs of wear but minor.. didn't feel like waiting for a replacement so I'm keeping it.

Doesn't work upon delivery. Original Canon Japan 50 mm lens is in good condition.

Quality is very good, only minor defects
The quality of this camera came almost perfect. The only thing it was lacking was a bit of the paint on the canon sign. Otherwise it functions wonderfully. I was able to get film at a good price and also they offer a insurance plan with this camera so for three years if it breaks or anything like that, I’m able to get it repaired, which is wonderful. This was absolutely worth the price point and I’m so glad I found this. I was looking everywhere for this exact type of camera and unable to really find a properly refurbished and competent seller anywhere.

Caveat emptor: refurbished doesn't always mean refurbished. Beware the Canon cough.
Unfortunately this was not as refurbished as it should have been. It had the infamous "Canon cough". Thankfully the fix for that problem is fairly arbitrary and easy, so it works like a dream now. However, that should have been noted in the description and/or fixed before I received it. And it should have been less expensive considering that I had to take apart the camera myself and fix the problem myself. When I'm buying a refurbished item I expect it to behave like a properly refurbished item. If I'm paying for refurbished then I expect actually refurbished.
