...and I am pretty sure he's winning. You see, I built a bird feeder that is clear and sticks to the window so that we can watch the birds come and feed. It's is on the side of the house far from trees or anything else so I was pretty confident that squirrels would not be an issue. That was very naive of me as they are very wily creatures who can problem solve remarkably well. So before long, this guy (or gal) figured out how to climb up onto the nearest structure (a small shed about 6 feet away) and gauge the distance just right so that he can jump and stick the landing without falling off. It's actually quite amazing. I wouldn't even mind him getting some of the food for his effort but he gets into the feeder and eats it all and scares the birds away in the process. So now it's game on. I have to figure out a way to get him from being able to stick the landing. That is where the bird spikes come in. I'm hoping to mount them on top of the feeder so there is no "landing pad" for him to jump onto. I'm also planning to put some where he is launching from (roof of small shed). Time will tell if this plan - and these spikes - work, but I am hopeful maybe this time I can defeat this freakishly smart fur ball. I will try to post an update once I figure out if my plan has or has not worked...

They work fine in those small obscure areas where the birds want to nest all the time

Birds built a nest right inside the spikes using spikes as a guide for sticks and long strands of grass.

Came as expected and easy to install. No birds since.

We have birds that migrate here every summer they are purple martens, I believe! They nest by packing mud up against things usually outside up underneath the porches and perch on the lights land on the house and 💩 everywhere, the plastic base lets you mold the stainless steel pins for lack of a better word, upward, so they can’t roost on top of them!

Me guistó la calidad pero el precio se me hizo alto para lo que representa. No puedo todavía saber si son efectivas ya que las instale sobre una antena nueva que compre también en Amazon para reemplazar una que los pájaros utilizaban para posarse cada día.
