SECRUI Wireless Door Chime for Home Door Opening & Business Entering

I ordered these for my kids college department as it has two points of entry and I love the fact that they could be programmed to make different sounds for each door so my kid knows where to look if a door opens versus guessing where to look. There are many chimes to choose from, they’re super easy to put up, and they are not too hard to program, although I had a little bit of difficulty and had to get my engineer husband to do it for me, but that could solely be that I did not understand how to get them going. I would definitely recommend these for anybody who wants a little more peace of mind and to be alerted if a door opens in your home; especially for the reasonable cost. Oh and I have to comment on the adhesive strength - it is amazing and once they’re on they’re on, so don’t be trying to pull them off after the fact, be sure you know where you want them!

Low cost and good value. The sensor will bridge fairly wide gaps and does not need to be perfectly aligned. Gap between the two could be as small as 1-2 mm or up to 7-8 mm and worked fine. Did not need be to parallel, as long as they were within 3 mm laterally they worked. The default alert is like a traditional doorbell & sounds 2 "ding dongs" and then stops, by default. The wall unit that rings can be plugged in anywhere convenient as it has long range. It is loud enough to hear throughout our 2-story house. There are other ring patterns you can choose, but I did not try those. In the photo you can see a magnetic "catch" next to it that holds door in neutral position if it's not latched. (That was not part of this purchase, but you can see it to the left of the Secrui.) I cut back the trim more than I needed to as I was not sure how precise the gaps needed to be. I used screws to mount the two parts, as the sticky pads that come with it are not very strong. There is a battery inside the sensor that needs to be replaced occasionally, but its been going strong for months. Will update this over time. I am very pleased with it.

Set them up at the front door at my small restaurant(1005 sqft). The distance is about 40 ft from the door to where we set it up and it works pretty well. I left about a 1/4 inch of space between the magnets because of how the door is set up. It still worked. It has different types of sounds and a couple of different levels of volume.

I got this because I have a son with special needs and he is an escape artist. I have on my doors and the chimes are up stairs and down stairs. It has different sounds to get your attention. The door mounts was very easy to attach and the chimes just plug in anywhere. When the power goes out I plug the chimes in to a battery backup so I know he is safe. The whole set up is small so its not ungodly to look at.

Working well at a distance of 50-60ft. Wide selection of chime tones, most of which are bizarre and useless in a business environment. Good volume and very easy to mount and use. Deducted one star because of the mounting system. If the double sided tape is used it must be attached covering either the battery compartment on the piece containing the single AA battery or the face which has a tiny light and writing. Not a deal breaker but a strange way to mount the door pieces.

EDITED: 🚨The sensor on the door just randomly stopped working about 2 weeks ago (bought in September 2024) it’s November and it stopped working in October. The seller will not get back with me, despite my several attempts at reaching out regarding the issue! Now they are telling me it’s not eligible for a refund or replacement of the sensor! This should not happen in 2 months! This was a brand new product! A company not willing to stand behind their product is not a company for me! TERRIBLE experience trying to remedy this issue!🚨 This is a great system for businesses and letting you know when someone enters/exits. It gives me peace of mind knowing both ways. The sounds are great, many to choose from. The loudness is perfect too! I bought two receivers for our approx 1100sq foot building and I ended up only needing to use one thinking I would need both to be able to hear, nope just one. I plugged it in, in the far back hallway pretty far from the front door so it wouldn’t be close to or disrupt our Massage Therapist and it’s still loud enough for all to hear and not disturb our LMT while working on clients. Definitely gives me a sense of security and now my employees can step away from the desk to clean/use bathroom etc without worrying someone has came in and not knowing. Problems solved with this thing! Love it!
