Joie Piggy Bacon Tray – Microwave Bacon Cooker with Grooved Design, BPA-Free, Pink

Lovely surprise to find my bacon cooked perfectly! Was skeptical about cooking bacon in the microwave, but three minutes was all it took to convert me to micro wave bacon. The dish is easy to clean although it is also dish washer proof. Great! :)

A really great item but if you're glass turntable is 10" or less it won't fit and won't turn. It's such a shame they don't do two sizes because the quality is excellent. I thought it would fit because it's only slightly more than 10" long but I didn't account for turning on the plate. You really need a larger microwave for this to work properly.

I have now been using this little Piggy for a month and I have to say I'm pleased with it. After receiving several replies to my enquiry about how many rashers it can cook, I can safely say that it only holds three decent sized back bacon rashers unless you overlap them to get four in. I find that in my 1000W microwave, two and a half minutes each side cooks the rashers perfectly, producing a slightly crispy finish perfect for a toasted bacon sandwich. The lid contains all the splashes, and I have to say it's a great deal easier to clean than the bacon crisper I was previously using, as the raised bits are wider and curved with no sharp edges and, so far, the tray hasn't burned at all even though it does get very hot in use...wear your oven gloves! So far, so good!

Good product for cooking small quantity of bacon with no mess. Easy to clean. Quick cook. Mine cooks too quick in the centre - probably due to my cheap microwave cooker.

Microwaved bacon will never be as nice as fried or grilled, but this makes a good job, and keeps all the greasy bits contained rather than splattering your microwave. You'll find that the ends of the rashers will overcook - not really much you can do about that. But for a quick bacon sarnie this works reasonably well.

Does the job, but not as good as the frying pan or air fryer

I am vegan, but I have a large cabin at the top of the Sierras where I entertain many guests. And most of my guests love bacon with breakfast, or on BLT sandwiches. As a vegan, I abhor dealing with any kind of animal grease. But this tray is so awesome, it cooks the bacon perfectly, every time, and I can prepare bacon to my guests preference, using only short tongs and the tray. It crisps the bacon to whatever your preference is based on minutes cooked. And the excess grease pours easily into a can for tidy disposal. I have a Costa Rican family of 7 visiting right now, and this tray is getting a work out. My guests love the tray because even the kids can cook bacon for a quick sandwich. It can be used for over and over without having to clean between batches. And once done, it cleans really simply in hot soapy water, or the dishwasher. This is one of those well priced, well engineered products that works great, and simplifies your life. And those are far and few it seems. I am certain you will love it. And the little piggy design makes everybody giggle.

I'm very happy with this purchase. No more using paper towels to microwave bacon! This can cook up to 5 pieces of bacon at a time and cooks to perfection! I am writing a follow up to my initial review. After using this product over a few weeks, I now have a crack in the tray. I will say I always washed the tray by hand with mild detergent. I live alone so it is not possible that the product was not dropped or misused. I will try to contact Amazon concerning this matter to hopefully be sent a replacement. I am providing photos to show the crack.
