How close do you have to be to the microphone for it to pick up your voice? I want to use it for my wedding.

I have worn this lavalier microphone under a shirt but near my neck with little to no interference. It will work around 18-22 inches away but is best if it’s 4-6 inches away. Be sure the green light is on, on the microphone before the ceremony starts.

How to make sure the microphone and receiver are connected successfully?

When the receiver and microphone lights are always on and no longer flashing, the connection is successful.

Is the cable that’s provided already able to charge the receiver as well?

Only the transmitter need to be charged. The receiver doesn't need charging.
